Hello, the mods I have done to the cub are, the big bore exhaust, I cut the rubber boot down in the air box as the original style is high and will reduce clean air flow and I up the front sprocket from 16t to 17t. My max speed is 58mph on a flat road with perfect conditions, 55mph is reached easily. As for changing the timing and valve clearances I wouldn’t know. I wouldn’t think it would make a difference as you are restricted by the valves themselves on these engines. But if you try it and it works I would love to know! Thanks for the comment 👍
