Some more games worth a mention: Sins of a Solar Empire, Spellforce 3, Sudden Strike 4, Driftland: The Magic Revival, Satellite Reign, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. After 2020: Age of Empires IV, Five Nations, Frozenheim, The Valiant, Aliens: Dark Descent, Last Train Home.

To be correct, some of this are not RTS but grand strategy(stellaris, total war series, Northgard) and They are Billions is base defense genre, taur is essentially tower defense, Ancestor Legacy and Battlefleet Gothic armada are Tactical games. DoWar 3 is a very mediocre game that ALMOST ALL of players blame it for being a bad game, and abandoned it with the MOD community en masse, so the dev, that are only a small part of the original Relic creators of original DoW, delete the site, the support and take the shame with them....

# Total War does have an RTS elemet to it so it does fit here imho. # Northgard isn't Grand Strategy (like CK/HoI/UE etc.) but rather a hybrid of RTS and City Builder/Colony Management, so still partly an RTS. # Tactics games with real-time combat are RTS still part of the RTS genre.

"Like", but this list should contain only series like "Total War series, Age of Empires series" and so on. And for example, determining separate games such as Age of Empires 4 makes other three games excluded from list and disappointing fans of them.

risen 3 is way better that underdeveloped risen 2, but overlall this is fantastic list of some alltime great RPGs

Risen 3 has the better combat but the story is the weakest in the series (though none of them are great) also the difficulty is non-existent because every island in the game could be reached from the beginning.

In GreedFall "battles and character development ENGAGINGLY executed"? Are you serious? Gameplay was actually weak in this game, it was definitely repetitive. Maybe average but not even "ENGAGINGLY executed".
