Used a Stihl brush cutter with the cutting blade for years. Yes, it does the job well for any softwood up to ~3" dia. Don't forget the harness and the chainsaw file to sharpen the blade correctly. The kickback can be fast and strong...be warned. Good show. Tak Tak.

Great stuff! I currently have a large pile of uncomposted wood chips. I’ve used some as mulch on garlic and a few other things and even that has helped soil condition. After watching, I will definitely be creating some smaller piles mixed with some chicken poop!!

I think the other species of trout that you were looking for a name on was German brown at least to me they look like brown trout😊

Question from someone that has no Idea about farming. Can’t you keep you keep it warm by composting inside the greenhouse? wood chip stays hot longer as it takes longer to break down I think, also I’ve seen ppl making some sort of heat exchange with the compost

Thank you sooo much for this video. I have TONS of sawdust and chicken, cow, goat manure and grass clippings. I hardly have any deciduous trees and since its so dang windy where I live, I dont get to use them to compost down. My soil is hard clay, and I have been stressing so much about making enough compost without a carbon source. I ran across a document that says raw sawdust is 500-600:1 and 3 yr aged is 140:1. I have both!! I am starting my next compost pile tomorrow, and Im super excited!! Thank you!!

I stack. Who needs to obsess over bark ? We use firewood for heat, not to think. Bark up, bark down. Stihl, Husky. Who cares ? The wood doesn't. I cut and burn 6 -8cords/year. JMNSHO

I do not presume to know what I cannot possibly know. However, the prevailing scientific hypothesis is that life arose from non-living matter, a process known as abiogenesis. We know that life did not always exist. Common sense dictates that at some point life came into existence from non-living matter. While it cannot be demonstrated how that happened, that does not mean it didn't.

We always mulched or strawberry fields with sawdust and had great crops without weeds. Vegetable gardens were mulched each fall with a foot deep bed of tree leaves and manure add in the spring before plowing.

Sure hope things are falling together today, and that God allows you to see his plan unfold before you.

I have never seen anyone cut that far with the backcut. Not once. Cutting higher is fine - say 1" to 2" depending on the diameter. If a person can't judge leaving 1-1/2 to 2" by looking vertically for the hinge should not be cutting down trees with a chainsaw.

Simeon, recently you posted a few videos where you mentioned that your field was overgrazed. I have been interested in a follow up and expansion on that. Based on your comments, I am sure that you would consider our small field to also be overgrazed by our one goat and 3 sheep. (Luckily, I have it fenced into 4 sections.) I’m interested in some guidance as to how long we should allow them to rest. I am already keeping the gates closed and still feeding hay in hopes of giving it a head start. Thanks!
