Good light, lousy fastening architecture. Lasted my 1 month, and a half, 1,000 to maybe 1,500 rounds worth before fastening screw snapping into 2 pieces. I should have realized that frail, weak lil screw diameter would be suspect, to its demise. Tried to return it, and get my money back, but they refused, so it is trashed. I spent the money and have a Surefire coming to replace this poor designed fastening system, and light. Funny it looks like a lot of candy asses, that must use it as a shelf piece, always touting up this product on the review boards.

Why is it that no one is talking about the tlr1 HL having issues running in temperatures around 30 to 40° F Are folks not running their equipment in real world situation s because my light stops working at 40° f needed to keep it close to my body to warm back up in order for it to function

I notice the tape switch doesn't have the constant-on button. Does that mean there's no way to activate constant-on from the switch, or is it tap for constant? I want to be able to use constant-on from the switch and I would prefer it be with the seperate button. You guys should have all of your long gun lights use a standard port for plugging in a tape switch and then you can offer momentary-only and momentary/constant switches and then people can buy the one they want and the aftermarket can also make switches for them.

The 100 lumen “low” mode would be waaaay too bright for its advertised use. These “tactical” lights almost never include a moonlight mode (1-25 lumens) which is far more preferable for reading documents, drivers licenses etc. as shown in the video.

What about loctite? I’ve heard that if you don’t put loctite on the screw, this light will fly off while shooting.

Had to use this earlier tonight, some teenagers ran into my parents backyard and were running from the cops. I haven't purchased a weapon light thinking this would be just as useful and it was! I was able to clear the whole property efficiently without any problems using these skills.

When we are wearing our fire fighter gloves 🧤 it is way more challenging to press that new on off button !!! Please bring back the old style on and off switch to your new updated firebox!!! Excellent video helped me install it no problem! The tool mentioned is a spanner wrench, I used one I had to adjust small shocks it’s a curved wrench with a grab on the front to grab one of the two notches in the nut.

This is what the TLR-7X should have been. Finally a good replacement for the larger bulkier TLR1.

What really helps is putting some kind of medium under the button like cardboard or foam to fix the inconsistent squishiness of the button. Open the cap and screw out the white nylon part holding the spring to get under the button to do this. Why Streamlight hasn't fixed this problem is wild. I've had to do this to the majority of my Streamlight flashlights to get them to work right.
