I Remember watching Jock Stein's "Lisbon Lions" when i was a boy growing up in South Wales. Inter Milan were very Famous but I remember how Brilliant Celtic played all the way through the game. A Superb Equaliser by Tommy Gemmell and there was only one winner with a goal by Chalmers. Celtic had all eleven players from Glasgow which is incredible and will never be equalled today. Fantastic Game, Superb Football. Celtic the First British Club to take the European Cup with the Legend Manager Jock Stein at the Helm. Gentleman Jock RIP.

Celtic had a 36-game unbeaten run in all competitions, but lost to Dundee Utd on New Year's Eve (3-2 at Tannadice). United won 3-2 again (at Parkhead) to delay clinching the title for a few days. They were the only Scottish team to beat Celtic that season. The only European Cup loss was 1-0 in the quarter-final against Vojvodina, in Yugoslavia, but Celtic won the second leg 2-0. As well as the quadruple of major honours (EC, league, Scottish Cup, League Cup), Celtic won the Glasgow Cup - winning 4-0 in every round, including against Rangers at Ibrox. They entered 5 competitions that season and won them all. When Jock Stein took over in 1965, Celtic had only won 1 post-war league title (in 1953/54, when Stein was captain), but he won 9-in-a-row while taking us to 4 European Cup semi-finals (2 finals). The overall record for the season was: Played 63, Won 52, Drew 8, Lost 3, Scored 196, Conceded 49. Joe McBride got a season-ending injury on Christmas Eve, but he still finished as Celtic's top scorer, with 38 goals in just 29 games.
