I want a jellyfish princess! Have you watched Princess Jellyfish? It’s a very cute anime about nerds embracing their unique hobbies. The main girl is obsessed with jellyfish. The manga even has a character obsessed with Blythes or Pullips. I cant remember which, but she makes outfits for them and loves them more than people. Sadly, she’s not in the anime.

Hi Tammy. I have two factory dolls that have the same type of texture. Her hair looks very pretty after her many washes, 😂 I do agree with removing the scalp and soaking in dawn dish soap, however I think that the texture just looks like it's greasy. She's super cute!

I think you're absolutely right about getting factory dolls at first to dip your toes in the doll collecting world. It's exactly what I did and now I have exactly FOURTEEN factory dolls now. 🤣 I don't think I will get an authentic Blythe for the same reason you were scared to play with your one Blythe. 😂 I do want a smart doll someday. hi! thank you so much for this video! i got sucked in back in 2013! i have a collection of blythes, quite a mixture & i understand what you've talked about - all so true! i splurged for a stock ("art attack"), but won't do that much. i've also splurged for a couple customs, but won't do that much either. the rest are factory or in-between. i really have to stop looking! ... but, that biblio one coming out? well... love your collection! namaste :) (the whole "face mold" detection- i'm still learning...) (i also really love your "jellyfish"? one from the recent vbr- so pretty!!)

This video was very helpful. I think there’s room for nonstock dolls, and stock dolls. I totally understand the importance of the stock dolls. But… I, personally, don’t think I will ever be trying to customize a stock doll. I think they are perfect just the way they are and they should be left alone. If anybody wants to customize, that’s where the nonstock dolls come in. Also, I have very young granddaughters that are not old enough for 100 200 or 300+ dollar doll, lol. And I think the fakes are perfect for them at this point. The nonstock, or fakes are a great gateway into these dolls.

The Good Smile Co. scalp/dome is different from the RBL ones on Ali-Express - any idea how to change it or retrofit the RBL scalp to fit? I still can't figure out why the official dolls have such bad hair compared to the inexpensive Ali-Express dolls. It can't be that difficult 😕

Do you know where to get a new in box doll in Europe (not GB)?

That was a good question why these doll should be so expensive. I totally understand it with BJDs, which are small batches and like art pieces, but stock Blythes are simple dolls and there are much more affortable, even collector or artistan made dolls. This is all about making money for the companies.
