Screw the redemption arc, Red Dead Revengeance should be next. Landon Ricketts as the main character, a good man who in his early life lost his wife to a gang of bandits. His soul goal is revenge, and accomplishing it puts him on the path that we see him in Red Dead 1. I just want a cowboy shooter game where my entire goal is to gain as much money as possible after completing a revenge story arc and have no moral consequences.

I see another game set before red dead redemption two it wouldn’t show the Blackwater massacre and it wouldn’t show the formation of the game, but it would show another person’s story and I believe it’s Mac Davy’s. Also, this is my hot take. I don’t believe Dutch was a bad person. I believed he changed and I believe that at one point he was a good person by the standards of an outlaw a butch Cassidy type of figure he gave back to the poor he helped people in this gang succeed, but he changed. He still had good intentions in mind up until the ending of red dead redemption two when he finally realized that he fucked up and finally figuring out that Micah was a rat he listened to Arthur. I’m guessing Mika somehow contacted and convinced Dutch that he wasn’t and they started another game together, but I don’t know that’s just my hot take nobody’s reading this anyways

How about a different story that takes place during the same time span. You're a sherif who has been outlasted, blamed for the murder of his wife and kids who were shot and burned. The culprits? Another gang who's leader has resentment towards the sherif. The sherif goes from catching lawmwn to becoming one so he can gain the information he needs to find the people responsible, his revenge being all that keeps him going.

I kinda feel that if this video was made after RDR1 you would argue that there is no point in telling the story of the gang, that it's better to left for viewer to puzzle out. that we know the end of the gang, we know where it ended so it's pointless to make RDR2 a prequel telling that story instead of leaving it vague. But at the same time i agree there are no really good ideas for RDR3. But I feel that RDR2 didn't have great idea for itself either. It was made great by writing and hard work of every department. So only writer of those games could tell us if rdr3 can happen. And he left rockstar...

Its like a good TV show, even though we love it, the show has to end. Going on and on for 15 seasons gets old, repetitive, and boring. The shows that come to an end after 3-6 great seasons becomes legendary. Red Dead can only be around for two games, and a third would be a stretch. Both RDR games are great and we should hold onto them for what they are letting them end in glorious fashion.

Moving forward with Jack isn't an option without abandoning the western setting, considering we're already so far ahead in the timeline. So that is a no vote for me. I want to ride horses, not Model T Fords. I am perfectly fine with another prequel. Show the gang in its early formation and the events leading up to the Blackwater massacre. I have no problem with finally showing what happened given how many years will pass between RDR2 and any likely release date for RDR3. The mystery will have been out there for a decade or more by then. If you really need a redemptive arc (I don't think that is strictly necessary), you can focus on the Davey Callander character, because he dies at the beginning of RDR2. Have him start out as a bad man and have him do something heroic in the massacre that results in his death, say saving a civilian from Micah. He dies at the end of RDR3, providing a perfect segue into RDR2. You can also develop the Jenny Kirk character, who also dies in the massacre. My real concern is that, given the current trend in gaming, RDR3 will turn out to be a woke mess. Leftists are destroying every intellectual property they get their hands on. As others have noted, the creative force behind RDR1 and 2 has left the company, leaving RDR3 vulnerable to a woke takeover. We could wind up with a Mary Sue Sadie Adler kicking ass in South America. That would be a tragedy. Probably better to leave RDR3 to the realm of what might have been.

I don't comment alot on YT video nor do I watch alot of "Drama" videos, Also I'm not from America. I always find it "weird" that peoples shit on different topics that would make no sense to me, for example, the fact that one of the protagonist would be a women and the fact that it's "unreal" that a women could go against a random dude and knock him cold. I know some womens that could easily beat the fck out of me. Also the fact that one is a transgender, I mean, would be a unique take for a scenario (cuz you don't see that setup often in videogame) but also the fact that she's a mother. I feel like this open so much opportunity for scenario between the mother and the kid that you wouldn't think of. The best thing I like about this is that everytime I see a points made (not by ActMan but by whom he's seeing a video of) it goes like this: "Ok so a protagonist is black, what's the problem? I mean peoples of differents color skin do exist, not really a revelation by that point. GTA SA was all about CJ and boy I loved CJ and didn't care one bit that he was black" or "Oh, one of the protag is a girl, alright what's her story? Oh you don't like the fact that you have to play a woman? Well I can list a number of game where you have to be one and the game is awsome so ..." I'm 27 years old so maybe it's because I grew up in a house where we learned to accept each other for what we are. Maybe that's the problem. watching older "adult" person being like that will always feel me up with that feeling of "It's 2024 Gramps, we learned to accept alot of things that should've been accepted along time ago". I think a story about the Callander brothers, Mac and Davey would be great because it seems they joined the gang not long before the events of rdr2 happened and we do not know much about them. also, I think Mac is alive because we did not see his death and the only source that implies his death is agent Milton and the reason is maybe he has a deal with Milton to do something for him like selling out the gang in exchange for letting him live and start a new life. all of the gang-related parts of the story could be 1 or 2 chapters of the game and others would be solely about brothers and their adventures in the Wild West and Mac finding redemption after his brother's death.

This game was fun until people started figuring out the movement. I just don’t want to play a shooter game where everyone is moving around like they just huffed a pound of PCP. That shit is just not fun anymore. Oh well, another game in the uninstalled pile.

I feel like I ruined RDR2 in some way I don’t even know. I felt very little emotional investment when I played it. I have a lot more now, so I guess it was my headspace at the time. But I can never play it the first time again, and my first time was shit.
