Sell it? Jk, I actually don’t know anything about the 1.6, we never got them in North America, so it’s hard to understand it’s weak/ strong points. Definitely delete and tune as a start, and then I would look into longevity modifications?

Loving this content, I am just now getting into the tuning and deleting my Q7 as the DPF cracked. TCU change made my car un-recognizable, especially when you are starting from a stop for example crossing a road and you step on it, and it almost made it feel like it was sleeping and then it would wake up and go, so that delay was almost dangerous at times. Happy to report that its now completely gone. I am now Stage 1 and the improvement is massive, waiting for my delete pipe to proceed to stage 2 and 2.5. I am not sure if I will be doing the EGR delete as I may want to do the dynamic EGR. What are the benefits of the cooler being deleted?
@ThatGuyTyy3 күн бұрын
Benefits are no exhaust gas going into your intake track causing carbon building up, and you’re removing a massive failure point

Question for you, when replacing the DPF muffler with the DPF delete pipe, for the pressure sensor rubber vacuum lines (2), did you plugged them or removed them completely from the vehicle?

I hope you're still active. The videos are great, and I'm currently about to pull my engine but how did you get the main wiring harness out? you didn't cut it right?. seems almost impossible to remove without tampering. please help 😅
@ThatGuyTyy8 күн бұрын
Entire front end was off car and had access to a lift, it’s a pain in the ass but can be done without tampering
@hansalfonso46608 күн бұрын
@ThatGuyTyy entire front end is off in service mode. do I disconnect it from the ecu? or do you have to take off the boost pipe throttle body and all that then disconnect from injectors to get it out that way?
@ThatGuyTyy8 күн бұрын
@hansalfonso4660 if you’re planning on removing the engine yes. You’d have to disconnect every single electrical sensor, mine stayed connected to the ECU and I just laid it in the windshield. You can also then just remove the false firewall and pull the ECU at that point

Just bought a 2014 Q7 TDI with 104k miles. I now smell diesel like odor after engine warms up. No check engine light, no hissing or anything at injectors. Did a VCDS scan and in the history I have a p2459, p24C7, and p24AF codes. Rather than trying to “fix” what could be causing the smell, would I be better off doing deletes? Newbie to this, looking for reliability and longevity.,. Recommendations on where to start?

Noob here to the Q7 TDI world. Been driving mine around for 7 months now, and definitely feel the “slip” feeling. Would this tune work for a bone stock 2013 TDI 3.0? Thanks!

Yes! It would work on any form of modifications, it’s more noticeable obviously in a tuned version as there is an increase is torque but would be noticeable in a stock one as well
