I need to try to record some gameplay footage of this game. This hack is helluva lot brutal in difficulty spike vs the Vanilla game due to the ai having unintentional (?) jank with their driving patterns. That and the Death Wind courses, sheesh!

@@Housestationlive Not sure. Has up and down sides to play as FS. Has the best pace just as in vanilla but mistakes hurt it more due to bad acceleration.

The CPU in this game is always on god mode when playing the harder difficulties. No matter how good you are it’s impossible to catch up to them once they get ahead of you.

That hairpin turn is nuts. You almost have to use a super after slowing down there to maintain any sort of a lead.

I definitely struggled with this track, especially with ships that have bad speed retention and low health like most beginner ships. It is very chaotic with the cpu bouncing all over the place. But this was recorded when I already completed all leagues with all ships on master. Which means I already had a lot of practice with this track. Also, the Stingray is one of the better ships for this track. It is fast and has a good amount of health.

Big Billow is way more tolerable here, especially when you use a vehicle with a Turn Performance rating above C. It's why the Wind Walker surpassed the Falcon Mk.II as my favorite Machine.

I found WW one of the harder machines to beat this with, mainly because of its health. In PTII or DWIII you get killed very quickly. But it is a lot easier to keep up with the cpu than in vanilla MV, so the slow top speed is not as much of a problem.

@@FennorVirastar Smaller tracks with more tight turns that the AI racers can't handle as well. But unfortunately, taking shortcuts can only do so much as they practically teleport right behind you right as you land.

今までGBAのコースをSFCに改造移植しているのは見たことあったけど、その逆は新鮮だね! SFCのコースをGBAのルールやマシンで走るとどうなるかは面白い!

It didn't? Did you intend to post on the Calopsita Calipso video? The machine is just so heavy which makes it hard to maneuver around the bumper cars on some tracks. Fire Field is also hard but I got lucky.

Port Town I was altered likely because of the differing proportions of GP Legend's version of Port Town II.

Yeah, the finish line is right after the last turn. If the turn after the magnets was shorter the next straight would meet the finish straight after the line.

That Sand Ocean looks unironically kinda dope. I feel like if the tight snaking sections were a little bit wider and there was a recovery section instead of the bit before the jump at the top of the map, it would fit in pretty well with official courses

Wild Goose is worse, it only has slightly better acceleration, but worse turning and slightly less top speed. (For this particular track even Fire Stingray is worse because of all the sharp turns) But Wild Goose at least fits a bit better into their game. Blue Thunder is a stronger Blue falcon and Green Amazon a much better Golden Fox. It is strange that Fire Scorpion is only a slightly better Wild Goose, when WG needs a buff more than BF. Btw. this track now is part of the hack Mortys Madness. It is called "Labyrinth" in the hack and the Ai is improved, no way I could do it in that version, it is hard enough to beat it as WG and FS without starting that far down.

How does that machine feel to fly? Its characteristics generally remind me of the Luna Bomber-- high top speed, delicate, quick recharge, heavy handling-- with what seems like a weird acceleration curve (it seems to pick up really slowly off the line, but really perks up north of 270KPH-- it's like a car "climbing onto the cam" and producing noticeably way more power at higher revs). Also, I'm unreasonably happy the first-ever SNES custom machine is named after my favorite bird. ("Calopsita Calipso" = "Calypso Cockatiel" in Portugese.)

It feels very different from any other. Difference in turning radius between Golden Fox and Luna Bomber already is pretty high. But the difference between Luna Bomber and Calopsita Calipso is even higher. So it is not just a bit heavier, but extremely heavier. It kinda feels more realistic. After I played with it for a while and went back to the other ships after that they felt odd, very light and toy like. It breaks the balancing of the game a bit as the AI speed is balanced around the normal ships. It does well on fast tracks, but slower tracks like Fire Field are a lot harder with this ship as you will lose a lot of time in the tight turns. The weird acceleration curve also partially is due to how weirdly the game displays speed. Numbers get inflated at higher speeds. If you had a constant acceleration from 0 to 478 kph, you would not see your displayed speed go up linearly but crawl at the start and rise faster and faster the higher your speed is.
