Hope it helped. I’ve done 2 trip a deal tours. Japan was better ( had more known tourist spots covered in less time & the experience nicer - full Japan Series is up on the Channel) I’d consider another trip a deal depending on location/price & expectations. Thanks for watching

Hi, I only have good things to say about intrepid & this tour. Everything was well organised, our hike leaders were supportive & encouraging. We list one of our leaders as he had to take one of the group back as they couldn’t make it after day 1 ( normally there’s one at the front & one at the rear- I was the slowest in the group & the 1 leader had to lead the group then come back for me - I never felt unsafe & you can’t get lost ) Food was good have no idea how they can cook such good food through out. Toilet of course ain’t real toilets but to be expected. They have your tents ready for you on arrival & this tour was such an achievement once you make it to the end ( I’m glad I picked the real one rather than the Quarry as that’s the authentic one ) I did train before I left & also took altitude pills & I was fine. The trail is so beautiful & even on the hard parts it was all worth it. Intrepid as a tour highly recommend. I’ve done a few intrepid & will continue to do them ( infact doing another Intrepid next month ) I actually did the Inca / Lima Tour my only regret is not adding in the Amazon as well Thanks for watching

Hi James. We had 4 different tour leaders throughout. We did 3 bullet trains and that’s where change over happened. They get you to the Bullet train the new tour leader was waiting at the other end. Hot tip at the other end you use your passport to exit the train station ( that’s your ticket ) Apart from that slight misunderstanding we were fine as a group with change over of leaders. You might like some better than others ( like me ) thanks for watching

Hi again Hermoine. Thanks so much for watching all the vlogs. It’s no good being sick on holiday ( I had my sister worried ) but I soldiered on. I just crashed at the end of the day !!!! But I always take advantage of every moment ( generally I’m not likely to go back so just do it ) Hope you enjoy it. Very good value & the overall tour certainly gives you a fast paced intro to China 🇨🇳

You don’t opt out of the commercial visits but can wait outside ( I skipped right through the silk factory- but did have to wait outside in the heat ) Skipping tours are possible but sometimes you have to wait ( free time to yourself while others participate) Others we leave from the hotel so those ones are better. And the others everyone joined in. I think there was 1 that may have posed an issue but I think the tour leader talked them into it. And I didn’t do the night cruise in Shanghai ( I’d run out of cash & you can’t use a card to pay) I just walked down to the riverside for about 45 mins while they did the 1 hour cruise ( a little bit of a walk around the boat cruise terminal but it is accessible)

Hi. I think it was more to do with the hot weather & getting on & off the bus in the aircon. Maybe a combination of the different food ( apparently they use different oils for cooking so I was told) Plus in Beijing we got stuck in a storm ( we/I got soaked ) & I felt the shiver down my back & that’s when things got worst. In saying that you might be fine. Fresh fruit not much in the breakfasts & in shops even a banana was hard to find I’d say do the tours if you want - I did them all except one ( cos I’d run out of cash ). You don’t need to do them all 1) the golden mask one - you’ll just have to wait while others do it 2) Hutong pedicab ( every one did it I think ) 3) Kung Fu ( a full day to yourself if you want ) 4) Canal Cruise ( every one did it 5) acrobatics show ( we end up at hotel before the show 6) 1/2 day Shanghai ( everyone did it) 7) night cruise I didn’t do it ( I just waited but walked myself to the waterfront for 45 mins - met back at the bus) -The commercial shops - you can wait outside-so yes you don’t need to go in but if you have will power you can go in for a little look

Hi there, thanks for watching. Not sure that this was a factor but I get quite bad motion sickness & always use prescription medication for that (but I’ve been travelling now 10 years & it’s never been an issue ) I think it was the heat at the time ( it was hot) & then getting on & off the bus in the aircon , probably contributed to getting sick ( which did happen to a few others ) maybe I ate something that didn’t agree with me. At my worst day at the museum someone did give me Imodium and that helped !! So my next trip which will be Africa ( I’ll be taking some of those )

Yes flight included checked luggage. While I’m not 100% limit we had just under 20kgs came back with 23kgs. Southern China - apparently on the way back you get more as the Silk Factory if you want to buy there silk quilt package and you get a free suitcase & there’s also markets where you can buy stuff in Shanghai. I’m not really a big shopper just a fridge magnet will do me.

Geeze this part of the tour maybe I pay no attention as most times I fill up on the daily breakfast ( but I was a little under the weather so didn’t really eat at dinner time ) in saying that some of the hotels had restaurants and I think there were some places recommended on other days but I’m not a big dinner eater- normally just a snack buyer during the day & if I’m hungry eat snacks.

Hi Katharine, thanks for your response. China is huge so to cover the 6 cities in 12 days it was go, go, go. Somethings on the itinerary not for me & yes the food ( I just wanted fresh ) overall good value and there were some highlights throughout the tour.

It most certainly was challenging. Long travel days - 3 bullet trains ( some of our tour group had an internal flight ). Some of the cities in between Beijing & Shanghai we could have skipped but obviously included so to break up the travel days.

Yes it was a very busy tour time table. Some of the places we went to not really worth it, but starting in Beijing & Ending in Shanghai we needed to travel a long way. I do also like to do my own thing but I came, I saw what I needed to so tick to China. Enjoy China when you go
