11:05 All the languages have their own difficulty, but usually, you need 4-6 months to pick up a new language and start to speak good, and 1,5-2 years to be fluent. These numbers are somewhat similar for most of the European languages.

not only is air conditioning completely unnecessary, it is also not really effective. In Germany, we are now in the process of installing new heating systems that are more climate-neutral and that can cool in summer as a small function in addition to function. is then called a heat pump. Finally, the thing with the windows, although it has to be said that it only takes a small investment to make our windows safe for beetles, there are so-called hanging frames.

I have a lot of questions: 1- What in the world is that flag pledge thing? 2- And wait, people don't own their place in the us? How is it social housing then? How does it work? 3- I'm sooooo confused, is it legal NOT to take holiday? What the hell is going on over there? How can you work straight for 3 years?

3:38 Less choice, less waste. Or do you think they sell out every single product until they restock, rebrand or it simply goes off? And the coddling of Americans that they need to feel a maximum of comfort at all times, IS the problem. Guess why everyone thinks you're self-centered and ignorant towards others. If you can be happy with something that is close to what would be perfect for you individually, you live a much calmer life. And yes, that applies to politics as well.

🤣 yeah the "stare" is a cultural thing. Almost always directed at people, who behave like they don´t belong (loud, chatty and excited...and not speaking German). A way to avoid the stares is simply look on the walkway in front of you, look out the window and put your hands in your lap and just be silent. I know it´s ridiculous but the Germans enjoy their quiet time even if in public (some even think about to call the police when they stare at you).

The problem with the bike lanes is actually, that they are not sufficiently developed, not that bikers are aggressive.

You have to differentiate the stare (interest and analysis) from the stare + slight eyeroll, like a side-eye stare (meaning STOP! or I'll step in and make you stop). If we don't look, we're just calm and fine with you, not ignoring you.

because of global warming, we will change our heating systems in near future away from fossile fuels. Many german houses will get a heat pump instead. With a heatpump you can heat and cool as you like, but without the climate harming ingredients of AC. I assume the American advantage will end in the next 20 years, because of the changes we have to do because of climate crises.

America (government, education, businesses, etc.) has been lying about a whole sh*tload of things. It doesn’t matter if it’s about politics, history, work ethics, healthcare or whatever. It made Americans believing anything; ghosts, aliens, bigfoot, Trump and so on, just because they never get to hear the real truth about things. There’s this idiot that want to make America great again. ‘Again’ means that it had to be great before somewhere in time. When was that then? Like you said: America is a weird place. That says it all 😂

Well English is pretty easy, if we compare to other languages, i from Ukraine, so i speak 2 languages as a default, Ukrainian and Russian, so my 3rd was English indeed. But if we compare to German that's my 4th language, English is much easier. Mainly bc of the conditions, you guys have only 3 times, without variations of them. In Ukrainian we have 4 times and 7 more variations of each of those 4

As I understand it, beeing from Germany, the hint "Don't come to the East" is not ment for tourists, but for people just wanting to enter our social hammock, if there are such people. But this is ment seriously.

"Dont visit East Germany" as a tourist there is absolutly no problem. AFD is getting strong there and wanted to kick "migrants" out of there. YES they want this. but they only want to kick Criminals NOT EVERY "migrant" or tourist. Its not raisist, THEY ONLY WANT TO KICK CRIMINALS OUT! Like EVERY other country is doing it.

The behavior of the Police Officer was totally unacceptable but so was, I guess, almost driving 100 mph in a 70 mph zone to him. But if you drive almost 50 kmh to fast in Germany German police won't necessarily be friendly to you but never that unprofessional.

As a Frenchman I use to live in canada and remember feeling afraid when I visited the USA. Perhaps mainly because of the news and massshooting, but also thinking that anyone could have a gun on him. Also find it really weird to see rows of houses with perfect loawns and the big flag on the pole. i acknowledge it was only on some specific neighbourhood but it felt so fascist and "your not welcome here" Also at that time a mentally hill homeless man was shot like 20times by policemens in newyork. Also a big muscular man just yell at me because I hurt his elbow passing by. I was stocked, and couldnt say anaything because i was afraid and my english was not good. I think he implied that I was racist. I know there are lot of great people in this country but I felt unsafe during my trip. Canada is a similar country : culture, building, cars, appliaances, but it felt so much cooler.
