Very interesting. The consequences of that quake would be disastrous. I’m living safely in South Australia which is mildly(hopefully) seismically active. The mid north of the state is more active and has scale 2 or 3 rumbles quite regularly. The area is sparsely populated so it doesn’t cause any widespread panic. However, my wife and I are planning a holiday in the area in a few months time. I’ve noticed a couple of small recent quakes in the area. I haven’t told my wife because she has an irrational fear of earthquakes. 😊.

That is due to the region they call the Geysers...multiple power plants at CalPine ...they produce power from recycling cold water to injecting it deep into the fractures, steam....that is the cause...except the 1969 SANTA ROSA QUAKE ..it was caused from Majorbreakage along the ROGERS CREEK faulg...now yhey say that its all a single connection from the Hayward fault and a connection 😂with ROGERS Where it ties itself thru the MayacMa faults...its goi ng to prove a few ppl wrong. Potential is way above a 7.0

Well since it's a slip strike fault it's never under huge amounts of tension so the "Big One" will probably never happen. maybe at worst a mag 5 or 6. If you want to experience the "Big One you need to come up north to the PNW where the Juan de Fuca plate is subducting and dragging the North American plate down with it creating enormous amounts of tension. and when that tension get released and the lip of the North American Plate rapidly moves up. that's where the "Big One" will be. the one that reaches mag 9. The one that will wipe out the coast with a tsunami.

The areas of land can only slide past one another up until it builds up pressure on the shear line.......the land acts like a compressable spring and can cause big eruptions when the land lets loose and that happens where the fault lines change angles

New Madrid fault line is a bigger threat. 11 million people live within the NMSZ, and current estimates are that a 7.6 would kill 2 to 5% of this population. Conversely, current predictions say San Andreas SZ experiencing a 7.8 produces a death toll around 1,800. Toss in the fact that NMSZ has actually had an 8.2 quake, and even a 7.0 would re-route the Mississippi river (critical transport route), it's FAR more impactful. Add in the current estimates that an 8.0 in the next 50 years carries a 10% probability, and the situation is clear: Americans need to get educated about the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

I live in Palmdale. Visiting a friend's new home. They had a bazaarly long front yard and almost no backyard. Ii asked why. THE SAN ANDREAS FAULT runs directly under their front yard! I don't know what idiot thought to just put the house 200' off the fault would make everything just fine!

What you and most others investigating the San Andreas Fault fail to address is that the North American landmass broke away from it's connection to the Eurasian landmass and has been traveling westward until it is now backed up against the fault and leaving the eastern plate boundary deep in the Atlantic Ocean (described as "sea floor spreading"). Californians and everyone living around the Pacific "ring of fire" are in great danger when this next continental movement takes place. The most severe danger will be mega-tsunamis of many hundreds of feet deep. According to those of us who God has shown this catastrophe through OBEs and NDEs, it will be coming soon.

Exposed amethyst will 'bleach' out in the Sun. I have (or had) a nice amethyst agate I found on the shore of Lake Superior, really dark purple. There's a lot of iron deposition in many areas.
