Animagic does not only stand out in Germany, it stands out in Europe. For it's size it's huge and i would say only Japan Expo in Paris is bigger when it comes to the line up. In Germany you have Anime Festival Kassel and Babelsberg as well who are doing really well in inviting guests. Dokomi is my favorite convention here, for me it's the complete experience of what should be in an anime convention. While it does not have the biggest line up, it has one of the best vibes (i think Japantag has the best vibe but that's not really convention but rather an outside festival) And there's the J-rave which is my personal highlight every year, it's the best party. Looking at conventions in Europe i think Germany has the best ones. Some of them are more commercial but there's still a cosy vibe on most of em, everyone of friendly and hyped up, even on these small Anime Treffen events. I have been to conventions in a few countries since last year and looking at France and especially Belgium it's all super commercial and besides the big ones in France it's nothing special, just comic con over and over. The Netherlands has no big anime conventions but there some fun small ones, usually fully run by volunteers. Like Abunai, Animecon or Viencon (it"s in Centerparcs holiday resort!) Most of the time there is no special guests though but they have fun parties and there's a lot of alcohol. Last week i was also in Sweden for Närcon, that was a fun convention as well, similar to the Dutch ones. I'm typing this now being hyped for Animagic tomorrow. Tomorrow morning driving from Limburg Belgium to Mannheim.

Those are waterslide decals they stick on their own. I used nail polish to make the eyes shiny.

You have to put them in to water until your decals solides of easily from the paper. Then as long as it is wet yoz can put in on your figure and place it where you want it. As long as its wet enough you can adjust the position until you are happy with its placement. Then leave it to dry and fix it with nail polish.

@@KyokoSaphira It came to me with a small cardboard with the eyes, eyebrows and details of the face. Two pairs of each, which I think is to have a spare in case you need it. They are like glued to that cardboard. It came with instructions but they're in japanese, I couldn't translate them yet

May I ask where you found such high resolution photos in order to make the standees? I’m having trouble finding good quality images.

Yeah that is not easy. They were not high res at all. I used Photoshop to edit the pictures so that the bad quality is not too noticeable. What you could try is use an AI tool to upscale a low res picture so that you get something you can work with. I am not 100% sure but I think that capcut has a Feature like that in their Web application which could be available in the free Version...

Also eigentlich hatte ich immer gute Erfahrungen dort gemacht jedoch wurden meine letzten 2 Bestellungen immer beim Zollamt zurückgehalten und ich musste so ein Zollanmeldeformular ausfüllen. Das war für mich extrem kompliziert und unverständlich sodass ich hier einen externen Dienstleister dafür in Anspruch nehmen musste. Daher würde ich da tatsächlich in Zukunft nicht mehr bestellen. Obwohl ich die Seite eigentlich sehr mag ist das für mich persönlich zu aufwendig und zu teuer. Wenn man sich mit Zollanmeldungen auskennt ist das bestimmt kein Problem. Die Versandzeit variiert je nach Methode. Ich habe bisher Luftpost und Überland genutzt. Für die Violet war es bei Luftpost ca 76$. Dafür ist aber die Qualität der Kits und auch ihrer prepainted figuren sehr sehr gut. Der Kundenservice war auch sehr gut. Einmal fehlte eine Hand im Kit, dass haben sie mir umgehend nach gesendet .

Wobei ich gerade Probleme mit Japanpost (von einer anderen Seite) habe und mein Paket seit mehr als einer Woche beim Zollamt ist. Ich bekomme aber keine Benachrichtigung was ich nun tun soll. Zoll kann schon echt nervig sein.. 🥲

I don't remember an extra button. But I know one of them just flew right of her vest when I tried taking of the vest which was scary. I think I glued it back on but never ever tried again to take it off

Hello again.. I wanted to ask if i could use vinyl sticker for casting the picture in the resin liquid?... Will it stick to it?

If you completely enclose your sticker with the resin it should work absolutely fine since the resin will stick to itself. Usually the biggest problem is when the resin seeps through the material you use for your picture like with paper when its not correctly sealed then it will turn out ugly. I haven't tried vinyl stickers but I think you should be fine..but maybe do a test run first before you ruin your sticker just to be sure.

Question!! So I have a figure that lays on the ground facing up. Not sitting. Literally just laying as if she was sleeping, I’m having trouble displaying her, I unfortunately don’t have any low shelf’s either, any suggestions? 😅

Hmm thats difficult... if the figure has ab base you could try propping her up a little bit. But its really hard to tell without seeing the figure.

This gave me an idea, I don't like grandista sanji, so if I end up getting a smaller scale sanji, I'll just add a clear stand under. Just place him behind my smaller scale oden. I have small limit space anyway lol. For Samurai chopper I put him behind oden but on top of oden's box. Now Chopper is more visible. And pairs well with oden making it look like a wano cinematic poster.

I'm from Hungary, and I checked these german websites. I did some e-mailing and research to compare prizes for Girl's Frontline figures. These german websites are very overpriced. We are talking about 20% price difference here.

Thank you for your comment! You are absolutely right! We would always recommend buying from japan if you want to safe money. If you want to support your "local" scene or as a beginner are too scared of ordering from japan these shops have been the best options to our knowledge 3 years ago. Please consider this video is almost 3 years old and a lot has happened in that time. Their prices always have been higher than in japan but just for context in case anybody is wondering: In june of 2021 there has been a change in the customs law. You now have to pay customs taxes from the first €. All Shops have raised their prices after that. And then from year to year it started to increase more and more. Now with inflation the prices are like you said almost 20% more expensive. So in our opinion it is not worth it anymore.

We used normal hot glue and Vaseline. You can also use Silicon if you want then you don't need Vaseline because the resin doesn't stick to silicon.

No the sculpt and paint ate the exact same. Only the accessories and the outfits are different.
