My mom saw one of these around 1994. There was an approaching thunderstorm, and she was getting the clothes off the clothesline. This blue ball of light came over the house and swooped down across the yard and just kept going to the East. She said it sounded like a loud sparkler. She's very religious and said it was an angel, I said no, what you witnessed was ball lightning.

FYI, Humans did not "convert" from monkeys. Monkeys are a family of species. Apes evolved from a species of monkey. Humans evolved from an early species of Ape and we are still apes this day. Evolution does NOT duplicate earlier evolutions. Even if some ape evolved bipedal motion and large brains, they would not be human but some paralell species.

One conundrum I feel they left unexplained was the sea circulation. First it stopped to stagnate all the oceans creating a global oceanic event spreading hydrosulphate up to shallow water. Then they say that the world warms up aswell as the oceans to thaw the frozen methane hydrates. Did the circulation of the oceans magicly turn on again or do they have a theory for how it can come about? Because if not then the deep oceans, just as deep underground, would not warm up. The only thing warming the deep oceans is hydrothermal vents aswell as ocean overturning circulation. I.E. ocean currents bringing surface water deep down into the deep oceans. If there is no ocean circulation there would be a distinct layer where above it the water would be warmer and below it the water would be colder period.
