I did the same mod for the window used thumb screws instead of wing nuts so the top of the machine screws are flush with them to eliminate snags. I left off the plexiglass and just have the tempered glass since the plexiglass scratched as fast as the inside clouded up. One trick to make the glass inside last longer is to coat it with 2" painters tape. Score it every 8" and just peal off another one when the opening fogs over.

I have a 2014 with the 4.3 v6 and I have the same issue with my passenger rear bolt, my biggest issue is I can’t find a repair bracket for this engine, everything I can find is for v8’s, is there one out there for a v6 or can someone make one?

I got the same kit especially because of the FULL interior. FANTASTIC KIT! BUT aside from the issues You pointed out like the lack of exposure of detailed areas, My only issue is some of the directions don't show the installation of every part. what was seen in step 7 post assembly wasn't seen installed in step 6. AWESOME KIT! ! ! would I build another ? Absolutely Nearly done with mine now I need to cut out some of thoose rear deck pannels as you did.

How do you know which one to replace if they are all flickering or dimmer or not lighting at all? It looked like you may have gotten lucky. Or do you start from the bottom left and replace them until they all come on?
@WatsonsModels

Unplug one at a time and insert the new light. It’s the only way to eliminate where the bad one is. So unplugged the first one plug in the new light see if it makes a difference if it doesn’t plug in the old light and moved to the next one no need to replace all of them. I wasn’t lucky the particular light that I had was flickering and then it eventually stopped so I knew which one it was.

I bought a T15 salt cell from this company and we did everything to get it to work and it never worked. Read all the fine print before you dare to use The Salt Pool company. First red flag is they operate under several different names. Also if you have to return because it is defective you have to pay a 30% restocking fee = $108, shipping fees to you and shipping fee back to them, and then you don’t get your money back you just get store credit.

Nice review. When the T-cell is installed horizontally the hump should be installed facing down. This ensures the plates are fully covered in water and there is no air bubble around the plates. This is particularly important with a variable speed pump at a low flow rate. The temperature sensor inside my cell failed after 3 months. Its silicone potted into the water stream and is really non-serviceable. If this happens your controller will display "HOT". I expect this is a common failing part, so Salt Pool Stores solution is to cut the red and blue wires to the thermistor inside the cell housing and wire a new thermistor to the red and blue wires running to the controller cable. Bad advice, since then it would only read the air temperature inside the housing and not the actual water temperature. You'll be back online but since the salt level is calculated by an algorithm in the main board that uses the voltage, amperage and water temperature, it will be affected by the difference between actual water temperature and measured air temperature. Best of luck to us Salt Pool Store buyers. We like it cause of price, but a thermistor failure after 3 months? Junk.

My experience is this - I ordered the cell to replace the hayward t-15 I had, and the salinity was 5200 ppm from the controller. 4200 ppm measured by the controller is actually 2700 ppm. But, I needed to have around 4000 or 4200 ppm (controller measured) in order to make enough chlorine to keep the pool clear. The calibration is off.

Hayward Sued them and won, but they were having issues serving them even at their listed US addresses. Last that I had read the defendant never showed up. That 5-year warranty probably isn't what you might think. 30% restocking fee right off the bat on a defective unit. It says Hayward Compatible but reading that high on a Hayward chlorinator isn't exactly within a Compatible definition. Good luck. Google Salt Pool Store Complaints BBB or Pissed Customer. I'm sure wishing that i did instead of watching a couple of KZfaq videos.

On the seal groove. I wonder if a lathe tool bit that instead of a cutting tool but a ball bearing off axis could be used to roll the sides of the groove down. And if a machine shop could replicate the flange bushing with a slightly undersized bore. Or if replacement axles are cheap enough not to bother. Only issue is if an undersized bushing will slide over the splines. Oh and you could make closely matched V blocks out of 6" pieces of 2x4 to have free standing v blocks to support the axle straight while measuring. Instead of in a bind

I have done (or have had done) engine (shop), transmission (shop), rear axle (me), and wiring (me). Front axle has made me nervous that it would be beyond my skill level, but it looks like something I can tackle. I am glad you are making these, I have referenced many of your videos for my projects. Most complicated was the coolant distro tube, I found the same solder blobs you did.
