Man you c4 sounds awesome which MBRP mufflers are they. I’m wanting to going to 3inch exhaust after I finish fixing up the car
@IllegalC44 күн бұрын
I dont think they sell the mufflers on their own so you have to buy the catback. On the bright side, the catback is like $650 and the quality is great. Its the MBRP Street Catback for a 2018+ mustang. Ill have more sound vids once its back running but that is months away. Im worried it may be too quiet as I only drove it home from the exhaust shop before it died. However it made my microphone Cutout on video and even on my stock mustang it was very audible

That is stupid! 400+ hp with TPI is so easy, and you are losing all the mid-range torque as well!

Not at all true. Its also getting harder and harder to find TPI parts as it gets older. Look man, you cant deny its one of GMs first EFI setups and its very obsolete. Its a cool and unique setup but at the end of the day, it has no performance to it.

Im in a weird position where i see fancy cars and i really like them but then i remember all the issues with cars. Environmental issues dangerous to other people expensive. Least efficient form of transportation, pollutes the air causes traffic etc etc. it kinda kills my desire to even get interested in cars because i don’t want to support something that i know makes other peoples lives worse and even my own for living in car dependent america. Its very conflicting given i like cars but i value my morals to much to support big companies by buying some new car

This guy's point about finances hit me hard. I have an 89 corvette and I was putting every dime into that car. Most of those Dimes I didnt even have, I probably put 12k into parts and work for that car all on credit. Then a really hard time in life struck, I was forced to move out and now had to pay rent and in California rent is atrocious. My hours at work got cut which hit me even harder. I was miraculously bailed from my situation through the help of some upper family members and I'm thankful everyday for it. But not everyone can be granted assistance from their families, listen to illegal c4 dont waste all of your money on your car.

Love the AVS2 on my 64.5 Mustang. 306 with aggressive cam, roller rockers on 289 heads worked following David Vazard plans. The AVS2 650 has will let me go to 6400 and nevers falls on its face. Great for a small cubic inch aggressive street motor. I'm sure the larger CFM AVS2's would perform just as mine has.

Wise words, Im a 20Yr old autistic dude that dosen't have my drivers license yet in New Zealand due to lack of motivation. When I was a little kid back in early 2010's I loved modded cars and wanted to do the same thing in the future, nowadays the car scene will sometimes have those people that will cause drama by making fun of/calling people out just because that person's car is bad compared to theirs, although I do tell myself that "regardless of how fast or slow the car and how nice the car looks I can still have some fun with it while learning how to do this and that." but regardless of telling myself that I still fear that I might get bullied by someone if I wanted to visit a local car meet in the future.

Even if youre in a spot to make cars your identity don't do it. I have a house paid off and 2 Miatas paid off at 24 so it'd be easy to go all in for cars but find something bigger than yourself and chase that. My identity is in Jesus Christ and what He's done for is on the cross, no one can take the Lord from you! God bless and good luck out there guys.

Peer pressure is a big thing to point out too. I was always pressured into boosting my 8th gen Si, and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s been my daily the past 8 years, no problem. Those same people pressuring me into do it switch out cars constantly or modify it beyond their budget and then complain about how expensive it is, trying to follow what everyone else is doing or impress strangers. Modify within your budget and time

A lot of your points really speak to me, as I want to avoid making those same mistakes as well so I can afford more expensive dream cars down the line with a proper plan (my current dream car is the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage). Don’t be a broke loser, having a nice car alone doesn’t mean you’ve made it in life. At the bare minimum you need to be a homeowner with a trajectory that you could support yourself with until death. Especially when there are so many problems money *can’t* solve, you wanna at least cover the ones it *can* solve.. nobody thinks you’re cool with you’re overly obsessed with something by talking about it all the time and rubbing it in peoples’ faces. Let them find out through subtle observation instead

At 60 it's mind boggling how so much has changed not only with car technology but the whole car scene. The street racing/ leaving car shows like a maniac and wiping out....things just seemed to be a little more laid back in the 70 to even the 90s. No doubt on the debt. I think we had it easier in the 70s-80s with the cost involved in building up a hot rod. The most important thing I dig in this video is that there's a lot more to life than just being a "car guy" and nothing else. Great video.

I'm 66 years old. Cars have been a huge part of my life. I've always been a car hobbyist and I raised a family working in automotive professions. This has given me many good experiences. When I die, though, I hope to be remembered for more important things. I hope to be remembered for who I was as a person, how I lived my life, how I treated others, how I faced my responsibilities. I hope that cars are never mentioned at my funeral.

Thank you. I’m 34 and starting to learn these lessons a little late. I’ve spent so so much time and money jumping from one shitbox project to another. I’m starting to make time energy for other hobbies and I’m getting to a point where I’m ready to put my little Del Sol SI in the garage and buy a nice practical daily driver. Chasing problems and constantly fixing your shit feels badass and heroic when you’re 20, but when you’re hitting mid-30s sometimes you just want something comfortable and reliable to take you to your friends

Nice advice for the young'uns. I'm a little different in that I didn't develop an interest in cars until my mid 20s. Remember that expensive =/= fun. My first fun car was (still have) an e36 M3 that I bought in rough shape for a song and turned into something great over 10 years. The car is a blast to drive, and I'm honestly not into it for that much money. At 39, I just got into a first gen Audi R8 that never would have happened if I was dumping all of my money into something "newer" or "faster" than the e36.

One thing I hear again and again here is that, instead of spending time and money on cars, you should go out, meet people, make friends, and build relationships. And therein lies the REAL problem. Friends/partners don’t come easy for many. And friendships and relationships are so often demanding, shallow, and unsatisfying (or worse). You think being into cars is shallow? It’s not HALF as shallow as many of the things that ‘normal’ people do, like posting pics on social media of the food they ate. At least when you build a car, you are doing something meaningful and actually creating and accomplishing something. This, in my mind, puts you ahead of most people out there. Yes, having good friends and a good relationship can be a good thing. But finding those people is not always possible. Remember that many people get into such things as cars as an escape from ‘sucky’ friendships and relationships. Want to talk about financially draining? Let’s talk about unwanted pregnancies and child support. That crate engine suddenly looks a whole lot cheaper now! Of course, even weekly trips to the bar with ‘friends’ to get wasted can be quite costly in comparison to modding a car. You tell ME which is healthier. It just makes perfect sense that one would turn instead to hobbies, including cars. Being obsessed with such things as cars and hiking/mountaineering (almost always solo in my case) may not be the healthiest things in the world for me (or anybody else). But the way I see things, I could have worse problems, such as drug/alcohol addiction or sleeping around and having a bunch of STD’s. Yes, we could ultimately live a better life if we could be more ‘well rounded’. But the fact is that this is rather idealistic and unattainable for many folks. Also, card must be taken to NOT lead one to a worse situation in this quest to be more ‘well-rounded’. This is a REAL danger, as many more ‘social’ pursuits can lead one down a truly bad road. Also remember that life is going to suck to a greater or lesser degree regardless of what you do. And things can easily suck a whole lot more in the future than they do now just because you felt like you had to change in order to live up to someone else’s standards.
