Since you plan to explore other bands (as you should!) keep in mind that Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls! They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. Hanabie is my second favorite band behind BABYMETAL. Love both! HANABIE defines itself as Harajuku-core. It's kind of a mix between harajuku fashion style (a form of kawaii fashion but a little flashier) and metalcore. BABYMETAL is pure kawaii-metal. Hanabie are closer to a proper "organic" band whilst BM is more of a produced metal dance unit with a high focus on putting on a show and a very polished-music writing style exploring all styles of metal and any other genre they can think of. The reason a lot of BM fans also love HANABIE is because they're kind of a different, more organic take on BABYMETAL. The shows are a little more hectic and closer to what you'd expect of a normal metalcore band. But other than that, they both have their very own, unique style. I'm happy to follow your journey discovering both and even more Japanese metal music. A little further into the future and you'll be so happy you delved into the richness, vastness of J-Metal. Japanese metal reignited my passion for the genre.

I actualy think it's great you picked the MV for this one because now you can watch MoaBanger and MomoBanger while knowing the song is about a girl going to her first concert for her fifteenth birthday (they changed the age for the alternate versions to match with their actual age).

This song is more reminiscent to late 90's Saxon, in particular the Destiny album. Just my personal opinion.

Clearly and without offense, you don't understand the music, it's just that. When you tune your ear and your "musicality", stop thinking inside a metal bubble, there you can enjoy this wonderful and complex musical structure.

This is a rousing, inspirational, motivational song as we gallop into battle - not a slow song. 🤘 🔥

Apart from the beautiful bridge section, this is IMO one of their (very few) weaker songs, but it was their single off their second album (that's maybe the reason for the more radio-friendly tone), and for some reason they insist on playing it in shows still. You know how it is: even the best band can't be 10/10 all the time. I just doubt the wisdom of putting a live version of this out now as promotion. Glad you've recovered. If you want to also recover a sense of awe for Lovebites, try Break The Wall next.

You should give bands like Unlucky Morpheus, Hanabie, Band Maid a try.. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

About the guitar sound: this song has definitely that classic Maiden galloping riffing & twin guitar harmonies. They do that in many of there songs. Twin guitar harmonies are really tricky to pull off live, because you need 2 guitarists that are "in tune" which each other. According to an interview with Midori & Miyako, it took them lots of practice, before they managed to do it live.

One of the things I love about Lovebites is, whenever they premiere one of these new music videos on their youtube channel, the entire band shows up in the chat.

One thing with Lovebites that will always be present from song to song is a complete Display of Quality and Mind numbing solo's. It's their staple and one of the main reasons I love this band so much. M&M and Haruna are my own Personal Holy Trinity

Why isn't there more energy from the band with this song? The answer is quite simple. This is one of their more serious songs. It is a very uplifting song; one to pick you up, remember who you are, wipe off the dust, and go at it again. Like Rocky said, "It isn't about getting hit and knocked down; it is about getting up AFTER you get hit and knocked down". This song exemplifies that, hence why there isn't much movement from most of the band. That said, even in the official music video, Haruna is as energetic as she is live here. But this is one of their more serious songs, hence why they are less energetic, and letting the lyrics and singing of those lyrics take the stage.
