I think both make the ultimate vlogging combo is X4 (B-CAM) for establishing walking shots n Osmo pocket 3 [MAIN CAM]increased quality static shots and for taking head. Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses is a plus for POV.

I have both and find that mixing the footage makes the final video much more interesting.

Perhaps there was a mis-communication about the official firmware release date. DJI won't acknowledge its existence and checking for updates says no update available

Got the air3 i like bigger drone more high wind resistant and 360 sensor 70mm lens 3x lens is really good. And the O4 transmission is really good.

Is the premium lens guard strong for rock climbing in the mountains? Especially with accidental scratches with rock. I have found that the standard one is very delicate and keeps getting scratched

I bought the X4 a month ago and it works fine most of the time, the app works really well, I like the angels I get when mounting on a motorcycle with selfie stick, but the 70cm or 114cm sticks are really unstable when you extend them so you need longer one. Now I'm looking for an action cam that I will mount on the helmet and I'm thinking to get go 3 because of it's weight and easy of use.

It isn't even a comparison; Insta360 covers the entire GLOBE where Pocket3 only covers the landmass of the planet. If being waterproof wasn't the final nail in the coffin then the extremely flexible filming murdered Pocket3.

I'm waiting for the X5 and the pocket 4. My pocket 1 & X1 still going strong.

On my dual-sport and road bike I use the X3 and Action 4. On my MTB I'll sometimes use those two but also the Go 3. One time I had the Go 3 stuck down by the engine to listen for a noise I thought I heard. It captured the poorly made adjustable kickstand break that I had just installed on it. In retrospect it's funny since neither the dual-sport bike nor I was hurt but the video shows my foot fly through the air as we fell. Needless to say I returned the broken stand and let the seller know what I thought about the poor quality control the Chinese made stand had. One day I hope to get the X4 just for the 8K (4K each camera). Kinda hard to justify it when the X3 is still working well enough. Same with the Ace Pro. I know it's a better low light action cam but the A4 works great in the lighting I use it for and it has been very reliable. Nothing worse than getting home to download your footage on the PC only to find it isn't there or it's corrupted. I also like the A4 because it doesn't have to go through a middle process before I can use it in my editing program. It's not a huge deal with the X3 but it is noteworthy because it takes up a fair amount of time.

In my Humble opinion the DJI is the best action cam base on its usability and software ease of use/Bug free/ lagging free. Yes gopro May have 5.3 k but you dont do much with high resolution if you video quality is less.

If the Insta360 can get a 1" sensor and do 10bit colour then the choice would be harder...

So I have the issue that when I import a 4k 60fps video it only lets me export at 30fps. Any Suggestions. Also would you be so kind as to let me know the best settings to vlog. Im going to japan in 2 weeks and I cant for the life of me figure out which one is best.

insta360 is a little bit better than dash cam footage. I have one or two. Its good for the 360 aspect but the quality is not good

I am not able to export with custom settings, when try changing 1 side of the resolution, it changes the other automatically and also the bit rate :/ help

Thanks for the great content. I wish I have extra $500 to buy both, but since I only have the budget for one, I'm choosing X4!! The main reason is that I live in Hawaii and I spend more time near water than on the ground...

Suddenly my 360 desktop version app started exporting different videos. in a preview it is a different angle, in the result, there is another, video gets cropped and even rotations are missing. Maybe someone had similar problem?

I have neither but I like the idea of the drone stick for the x4 because it combines both types of footage in 1 swift move

I normally enjoy watching your videos but this is a really weird one because you are comparing chalk and cheese. If you were comparing two different 360 cameras or two different gimballed cameras I could understand the purpose of the review. The X4 is an action camera the Pocket 3 is not. The X4 is a 360 camera the Pocket 3 is not. The X4 captures 8K video the Pocket 3 does not. The X4 is waterproof the Pocket 3 is not. The cameras serve two completely different purposes so it’s not a fair ‘which would you buy’ comparison. If I was going on holiday and had the money, I would probably buy both cameras especially if I was going anywhere near water. So sorry on this occasion I don’t get your video.

Great Video! For me, X4 and Ace Pro is the best combo with DJI A4 as a backup. Don't get me wrong, P3 is an excellent camera but the bulk, NOT action camera rated and not waterproof and that screen is not a device I would take near any rough or water environments.

X4...because i need the person in the frame for all the time.

I have no idea why I am watching this when I just bought both 2 weeks ago on my trip to Lisbon and Barcelona. I love the pocket 3 especially how small it is and how good it is at night everything is so crisp and clear. The X4 might not be the best at low light, but it has amazing capture quality and reframing when there is light and allowed me to capture a ton of videos that would have never been possible when I was hiking near high cliffs. Love using both at the same time. If you just want to shoot scenery get Pocket 3, if you want adventurous shots and not worry about your camera get X4 and use your phone for scenery.

Both are completly different and for different use. For vlogging and more pro footage pocket 3, x4 are maybe more for fun. Image quality the pocket 3 is the clear winner. But x4 looks fun.

I'm not sure it's a difficult choice. The X4 is an Action camera and the P3 is a handheld video and vlogging camera. You can use the X4 as a handheld video/vlogging camera but can't use the P3 as an action camera. It's not an apples to apples comparison. More like a pear to bell pepper comparison.

Its not clear about that "charge case", and nobody seemed to clearly mention this. Is the case just a rack in which you put the bateries, AND you need to connect it to a power source, or the case actually contains a battery and can charge the cameras bateries while in it ? I also did not found if you can take pictures while recording. Would be cool to know.
