I have noticed that I have to always adjust and tighten the knot. Is there something to put above the knot to keep it in place and tight?

Do you use any protectant on the copper or wax? Should the solder get cleaned off prior to puffing? Would there be any benefit to texture the wire prior to soldering? This was just beautiful! I love hearts!❤Thank you for sharing this! You are the best!

I don't coat any of my jewelry pieces as I don't like the plasticized look of the coating. I never clean my solder unless somehow it's covered in gunk. Normal oxidation will be gone once you heat and ball the solder chips. But then again, I only use argentium solder and I've never seen it get heavily oxidized in storage 😁 I would not texture the wire beforehand as it's gonna expand in size and possibly get distorted if you're not careful. I hope that helps 😊 thank you for watching 💓

That helped, thanks. My question on the solder clean up was in regards to the the surface of the puff. Maybe it was just me not seeing accurately but I thought I saw solder had bled out onto the top of the puff beyond the wire.
@Popnicute6 ай бұрын
@@lenastiward8657 ah, I misunderstood. You can sand/grind off excess solder before puffing for the best result, especially if it puddled up/bumpy. Be gentle. You don't want to remove too much metal. Just grind until you don't see the excess solder anymore.
