Given the information from your videos and commentary, I believe Mark Driscoll was spot on to confront the jezebel spirit that was operating in that conference and possibly the only one who had an untainted view of what was happening in the Spirit and was able to address it in truth. Mark drew back because once he was there and had delivered the message, he was intimidated and manipulated to do this by the jezebel spirit that appeared to control the conference. My guess is that there is no one in the pastors eldership or leadership that had the strength of conviction to confront the pastors' decision to allow such a demonic display at the start of the conference. I'm not accusing any one individual in that church of operating in a jezebel spirit knowingly. A deceptive spirit works well with jezebel. That's something for the pastor and church to seek the Lord about...but the fruits of a jezebel spirit was definitely operating no matter who it came through.

Never go to a John event again

They both violated Matthew 18. Instead of kicking him off stage he should have told him to wait; while he makes it to the stage. Then discuss it with him on the stage. In kicking him off, then talking behind his back; that viloates Matthew 18, as well.

All Involved are a CIRCUS ACT. The "show" called a men's conference is a circus. Mark, is a long proven walking CIRCUS. Trying to get it right is not really possible when you begin with a ministry platform that is already not a great alignment with scripture so.... welcome to where we have landed in the era of cool church events and large size is driving us instead of the scriptures...

Everyone comes from a different point of reference so, no one possibly is wrong. Next time possibly before agreeing to share at a conference, make sure you are well informed (& inform others) about all the "events".

My spirit is so grieved on how far the church and the people of God have come! The Altar is no longer an altar but a stage to perform. Wherever you get together as a people of God, that place where the word of God is going to be presented, where worship takes place, becomes an altar. I wonder if John, the person in charge of the conference, even thought that maybe there were brothers there who are struggling with their past lifestyle? How about worship? Was it done before the so called "show" and did the Spirit of the Living God move in their midst? If Holy Spirit did move, did they even notice the change in the atmosphere after this so called "entertainment" took place? Conferences are to edify, encourage, liberate, bring salvation and restoration to those attending; NOT to come and be entertained. Let me ask you, the "entertainment" did in any way, shape or form glorify God? Would you perform this before the presence of God or would you feel ashamed? I thank God for Mark Driscoll, (and for those who spoke up), for taking his stand and being obedient and saying what Holy Spirit told him to say. What he was sharing was the spiritual interpretation of what Holy Spirit was showing him; not his own. Mark, you weren't asked to leave, Holy Spirit was!! Lord, have mercy on your church!

It is very clear from what Mark said that God told him to do what he did and rightfully so! That was an abomination a ex male stripper and a pole! God spoke to my heart one night that I was to go to a very large church and confront one of its pastors in love with Gods word that what he was teaching was heresy! It was not an easy thing to do as I witnessed the look on Marks face as he did what God told him to do! So after I told this man he taught heresy he got very angry with me and it would have caused me to apologize if I hadn't known God was the one that sent me! Mark was very wrong in apologizing! Think if Ezekiel Isaiah Jeremiah any of the Old Testament prophets after speaking the word of the Lord then apologized because of public opinion! Just a good lesson for anyone that God sends! The pole guy seems ridiculous (IDK ... was it part of the theme??? But for me, just no). But Mark Driscoll is arrogant and pharisaical and abusive of his former team members. IMO he relinquished his right to be a church leader when he resigned rather than going through a restoration and reconciliation process as his elders were recommending when everything blew up. He has no humility and for him to stand up there and say that God isn't proud is incredibly hypocritical. John Lindell's second mistake was the sword/pole guy. But his first mistake was giving Driscoll a platform to begin with. It's possible for both men to be wrong.
