If the other person hasn't talked for a minute or two, that means you're rambling on too much and need to shut up and ask them a question or just let them gab too.

People might misinterpret Fiona saying “I only like writing when it’s easy and when the lyrics come out” as she’s saying she doesn’t want to do hard work or something but that isn’t it. It’s really hard to get good lyrics when you force yourself to write them and you don’t want to, Fiona is the type of lyricist that I love, sort of like Tom Waits who does the same thing and just writes things as they come to him and try not to change it much if at all. They both have very vivid poetic imagery, and I could name countless lines I love from both of them. I’d bet Fiona’s best most poetic lines are the ones that just come out, and that’s not to say they don’t have meaning or anything they very clearly always do same with Tom

Wow that’s so awesome that Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein was basically the impetus for what Tarantino does in his movies. What I really like about it is I think it’s easy for a child or even an adult to think anyone like Tarantino or Fiona are these anomalies who were born this way, and especially in tarantinos case some people seem to think his movies are so out there and different that he couldn’t possibly be inspired by the movies before him, or even inspired by movies coming out while he’s been directing, but he’d tell you he definitely was. Battle royale is his favorite movie since he’s been directing maybe even ever but don’t quote me on that, and it definitely inspired Tarantino in multiple ways. The fact he got basically his blueprint of “make the funny parts really funny and the scary parts really scary” from the Abbot and Costello movie, because it shows how anyone can get an idea or influence from any little show or movie they watch even as a kid, and that little detail that might be innocuous to everyone else is something essential to not just Tarantinos development, but all of our developments as fans growing up with his movies. Pulp fiction was definitely the first “adult” movie I saw front to back and that was a game changer, and even at that age I wasn’t into it because of the drugs and violence, it was the story and intrigue and the feel of it that pulled me in
