Seems like an oversight( as a LEO) you should mention this is ONLY for use when you have a court ordered warrant OR a life-threatening emergency that is clearly visible from the outside. Otherwise you just using a burglary tool to violate the 4th amendment & trespass under 'color of law'

I like the idea of thinning down the handle a bit, but think there are better solutions than paracord. Like taking the existing handle to a belt sander and shaping it. Then adding a lanyard hole is never a bad idea. Those of us with 3D printers can also whip something up that glues on as a replacement.

Don’t pry, you’ll most likely lose your purchase on the door. Instead, use your legs by squatting, putting the bar over your shoulder and pushing up, twisting the flat in the frame, creating an opening that can the be easily exploited. About 35 years of truck company operations helps to understand how to defeat even the sturdiest of doors, some may just take a bit longer.

Know that if you want to prevent this from being able to happen when you put the door frame in put two 2 by 4 about a foot apart at approximately the height of where the doorknob and the deadbolt would be between the two studs right beside the door and have that go all the way across the wall this will prevent the wood from being able to flex in that direction making it harder if not impossible for them to be able to do this
