Odd. What he says about the movie not having supernatural elements and being a simple case of kids committing murder kinda contradicts what we see in the film with the group having several supernatural encounters/experiences. Plus did he skip the film before the Q&A? How come he didn't know how to answer the question about the files in Jeff's desk? I mean he just revisited the film and he wrote and directed the damn thing. I've always been a big defender of this film but now it seems not even the director knew what he was doing.

Thanks for posting. Wish I could've been there. Hopefully we get to see his cut of the film someday.

Stereotypically bad that Keith, a black male, passes on by getting pummeled with bullets. The one little thing they got wrong in this otherwise poignant beautiful ending.

It's weird seeing this now and seeing Ruth's end date of 2025, knowing it's about here. Ruth Fisher passes away next year

I have never nor will I ever see a show like this again. In a way it’s changed my life. Absolute masterpiece. This is 2024, my brother talked me into giving it a chance as I usually don’t watch series

I just finished watching this in its entirety, the next day I was debating on going to a rainy st Patty's day parade with my friends or not, I went! It was great, live life. Great show 😁

4:30 I've watched this closing sequence dozens of time. I can NEVER watch it without weeping. Then we get to this point in this commentary, I'm just shy of "ugly crying" and you make me burst out laughing with tear rollings down my cheeks by saying Billy "Talked Brenda to death going on about Claire. Thank you for that.

I found this show two weeks before my mother passed away. I always hoped she would heal but it wasnt God's will. However this show helped me during this grieving time, I didn't see death as an ending, but more of a transition.

While I have not seen the series, I kind of see the ending a bit differently, on one hand you could argue this is how the family passed away or will pass away, I see this scene as Claire imagining everyone's deaths due to the filters realising she will pass one day but deciding to live her life to the fullest with the time she has left.

It's 2024 and I just watched the series. I'm glad I didn't see it when it originally ran. I had just lost my brother in 2002 and to this day I am still grieving his loss. The ending of this touched me so much... We are all so close to death. We are here for but a fleeting moment in time. When Ruth sees Nate on her deathbed I lose it. Most of my family is on the other side and I imagine I will have a hell of party waiting for me when it is my time. While I fear death I am comforted by the thought of my loved ones greeting me at it's door.

Hands down, the most epic series finale of all time. Such complex artistry and emotion. It took me years to be able to talk about it with anyone without being consumed by my own emotion every time. Total perfection.

My first death experience was my brother, I was 5. It was and it has always been something in our family that happened and left a scar on everyone in its on way. I'm 32 now and I've seen so much death in my life and yet I can't seem to get a grip on grief, even though I know so much about it. This show was painfully relatable in so many ways and so heartwrenchingly beautiful. I think in another life I would have been a mortican.

I'm late to this party as I just finished binge watching it on Netflix. I wish I could have a mind wipe to forget I watched it. And then watch it again. Truly the most beautiful ending to an incredible series. I'm going to rewatch the ending scene several times after I write this. I need to. Not just want to. But, I need to.
