I’m the one who asked the second audience question about the music!! To meet Gregg Araki and talk to him before the movie and tell him that he is the whole reason I started making films was the best experience of my life so far. He really is the coolest dude and it made me so happy to see him thrilled about seeing young people still enjoying his movies (my friends and I are 16) and also get gifted (by the man himself) an eat fuck kill pin like Amy’s. I found his movies when I was 13 and in a pretty dark spot mentally, with Covid combined with dysphoria and getting dumped by like all of my friends, his movies really helped me feel scene as a gay trans man and inspired me to create cool films of my own. Also that night helped me share Gregg Araki’s movies with my friends because they hadn’t seen any of his movies yet. My friends weren’t freaking out quite as much as I was but it was still the best night every and The Doom Generation looked amazing in 4k. But yeah thanks for posting so I can come back and relive it!!
