Hi James, I was in the process of taking the next step for my business and was contemplating upgrading softwares. Been doing demos with Jobber, HCP, SA, etc. Coincidentally I stumbled across your video and booked a demo with Real Green. Just did it and mentioned that you referred me here, I thought that hey I might as well capitalize on a $50 visa if the offer is available. They said that they didn't know what I was talking about and didn't give me it. I'm not mad I just wanted to let you know in the case some other people are.

In the era of ring cameras and antisocial paranoia, you need to be careful soliciting. In our area every single municipality requires its own soliciting permit to knock on doors. So many people don’t like being bothered these days that they WILL report you to police if you cannot present proper permit. Maybe it’s different in Canada.

We add it in manually each week. We pull the data through our CRM of Real Green, Quickbooks etc. Within the brackets, that person is responsible to hit the goals but also bring the number each week.

Personally I don’t see a point in incorporating unless you’re at 100k annual revenue. Before this point you will be solo and sole proprietorship makes a lot of sense. This is actually not an issue for damages personally. This is why I recommend liability insurance they offer a 1 million dollar policy typically. Also you will want to look into commercial vehicle insurance, if you get in an accident with your equipment with personal policy, they will not want to continue to insure you.

As long as you’re going to do $100k in the future you may as well incorporate. Some people put it off and put it off and before they know it they didn’t bother. Your points are fair, and I’d recommend getting commercial vehicle insurance sooner rather than later as if you got in an accident you’re right, it gets sticky

If you are solo you can refer to my comment, there is many perks to sole proprietorship. You do not have to have a separate business entity. You are the business you can use your personal name.

You don't need weed control. Just let them grow and cut them low. It is bad for the environment to be spraying chemicals on everything just so you can have a monocrop of a grass that is not native to the area.

They’re great for large lawns. It depends on your average square foot per lawn and the size of gates. Where we are, the average size is like 2,000 sqft so they wouldn’t work. But most companies on the states would rock a ride on

Phenomenal video my friend!! Quick question, why not use a backpack spreader instead of the hand pump? It will be faster - Also those signs/stickers you made for the tank and spreader with your logo are they stickers or are they signs screwed on to the equipment?

Hey Will! I’m not certain they would be faster, just grab the jug and go. It takes 20 seconds to refill if needed from the sump of the big tank and it’s not a heavy thing to lug around. Also they cost $30 vs $300 Thoughts ? They’re logo stickers !

@@JamesSzojka That makes sense, they definitely are lower in cost. We put the tee jet blue tips on on our backpack sprayers and we can cover great ground with it. We recently updated out still backpacks to electric ones and they are NICE. It has cut our time on property down on properties by 25-35% but the batteries are kind of expensive. And awesome I'll need to purchase some logo stickers. Thanks!!! And seriously man GREAT video walk through. This ones going to get A LOT of views.
