It's funny, I only watched the first part of your video before the winter to winterize my pump. Now that I wanted to use the pump again, no water was coming out. So after some googling I ended up back at your video which started automatically at the priming part from where I left off last time! We're also right down the road in Gulf Breeze! Thanks for your video! Oh and indeed, you should just prime / fill it before turning the pump on.

Thank you for sharing this tip. I was about to try gluing on a half of 3/4" coupling and not convinced that it would work. Your tip works much better and saved me the cost of a slide repair coupling.👍

Thank you, and KZfaq, for helping me stay a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man 😂 I will say I couldn’t get mine to go holding the hose to it so I used a female coupler to attach the hose to the spigot and turned the hose on then started the system… it took a little bit and then the sprinklers came on and dang it I gotta admit I felt pretty proud of myself 😊🎉🙌👏 thank you for this beautiful quick insight into how it works so I could accomplish this. You made the world a better place for me at least and I’m super grateful ❤ now I’m going to go do my mom and grandma’s sprinkler for them 💪

I’d like to buy/make a cover for the pump that can be kept on year round in case I’m not here when we get a freeze. Any recommendations? Hi from Florosa.

NEVER use a chain saw on your palm , use a saws all or hand saw! Don't cut above a 9 to 3 . A chainsaw is hard to control, if you cut to deep it can open the palm to trunk rot!!! Emerald Coast Bamboo and Palm trees does an AMAZING job at palm care!!!

What's the top plug for? Can I pump auqa-grease in there to quiet it. It's making a lot of noise, to the point where my neighbors are complaining about it. I tried putting grease in where it spins, it just throws it off, but the top plug. Can I pump it in there? It's gonna cease soon, I can hear it.

That’s just way too many green, healthy leaves that you cut off unnecessarily, and is not considered good practice.

I'd love to take some leaves from my 10 yr old pindo fronds that are touching the fence. But I am quite concerned about stressing the tree by taking away foods from the tree. They are all nice and green with no single brown spot. I trimmed 2 or 3 at the max and tried to compensate the nutrients with magnesium and potassium.

Love the video! I was wondering if you could help with a different question. I have one of these Irri-Gator pumps, looks just like yours. Mine doesn't come on at all. I traced the 110V signal into the pump from the timer, and through each component and through the capacitor. So the signal is getting into the pump but it does not energize. Any suggestions?

As several other have commented, I thought running a pump without it being primed was a no no. I actually had to replace my last pump because I didn’t use it for a while and it seized up.

my pump primed, but turned off after 3 seconds. FYI: my timer is not set. is that the problem? haven't set the timer because I can't figure out how to set it. it's a very old timer. if that is the problem, please let me know and I will have a new timer installed.

Most companies don’t use primer anymore. Today is glue is hot enough to weld the two pieces of plastic pretty well But for a peace of mind, I do use the purple primer for main lines.

Great video! I had no water coming out but the pump motor was running. I went to prime the pump just like you showed and quickly learned that my pump had a big crack in it. Water was flowing out of the crack. I knew immediately because i had just watched your video and you showed the welded crack in your pump. Now I know I need to winterize this pump, even down here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We did have a colder than usual winter. Hard lesson learned. Hopefully I can get my pump welded too. Do you know if the pump portion of the unit can be replaced, without replacing the entire pump/motor?
