Was it noisy when the ship docked? i was on Allure in the same type room and docking woke me up every time for a good hour with noise.

I didn’t hear any particular noise but then we were still sailing to the ports that we called on each occasion when I woke up.

Thanks for your comment! The cabana prices at Hideaway Beach are definitely on the high side, but Royal will continue to charge ridiculous prices, as long as people are willing to pay.

When and how did you see (figure out) that a train going to Pisa would get you to Civitavecchia faster (I assume you mean faster that a train that only went as far as Civitavecchia)? Are there route maps posted around the station?

Very nice review. I like your presentation style. Agree with everything - Club Suite much better than old Club World seats particulary the amount of storage space and access to it, plus aisle access! Food is generally good but occasionally not. BA FAs are almost always very friendly and attentive in Club.

Hi Ken & Steve Good review again thanks. Have used the BA arrivals lounge at T5 and due back in August flying from Cape Town. That lounge shuts at 1.30pm I think and certainly had no valet ironing. So its the luck of the draw if your flight arrives at T3 or T5 as the AA option in T3 seemed much better for BA Club World passengers. All the best David

Thanks David for the feedback. We really enjoyed the AA Arrivals Lounge. It’s quite a bit smaller than the BA one at T5 so it could get busy at certain times, but otherwise it’s quite impressive.

The stop was just right outside the port, I didn't recall a name. For the return, they were many buses that headed towards the city centre, so we just got one and then got off near the centre, as we wanted to explore the city a bit.

Thanks for watching. It's very easy to get around the island using public transport like buses. You need to be happy to do some research on your own, but I think overall there is no issue. After all thats how many of the non-cruise visitors do it.

I noticed the life preserver with your outfit. Does it have a solid backing? I am planning to wear a chest rig bag (Osprey Archeon Chest Rig bag) to carry my smartphone, point and shoot cam or insta360. Just curious if the chest rig bag will interfere with the life preserver.
