We tried to get home from St Barth’s via St Maarten, Charlotte NC to Austin, Tx… on Friday, 19th. Our plane to St Maarten got diverted to Anguilla because of bad weather, so when we got to St Maarten we missed our flight on AA. We could not get another flight until Sunday, 21… had to get a place to stay. Had more delays in NC, and it was an absolute zoo at the NC airport. I’ve never seen so many people and a very long line at the AA information desk.

So much history there. So nice to not see chain stores.

Thank you for sharing. I had a daughter named Capri. She was named after the Island of Capri. She passed away 5 years ago at the age of 34 from cancer. When she was in high school, I allowed her to go to Italy with a school group. I enjoyed watching this because I imagined some of the things she must have experienced. ❤

Nice! I never had the need or want to get to Italy, but glad you are able to have your family experience the country. My mom made a religious pilgrimage to Herzegovina (Yugoslavia) a few decades ago. She really enjoyed it and always glowed with happiness talking about it. I always thought I’d like to do that in her honor (she’s been gone for a little over a decade), but unfortunately the country is in turmoil and not safe for Americans to travel to any more. Not even close in safety in comparison to Italy. Glad you could have the experience. And talk about getting your steps in!!
