@Nailzbyliu16 күн бұрын
Hey love ❤ on the beginning of your video you mentioned that for numbers up to sizing nails will be 24 pieces and for a 9 sizes nails will be 20. Can you please explain why ? My goes from 0 to 10 so I would have to pick 2 nailz of the same size and will add up to 20 pieces. Am not good at inglés but wondering where am wrong and why is 24 pieces.

I recommend the channel ‘The Meticulous Manicurist’. She specializes in helping non-professionals take care of their own feet as well as loved ones who might not be able to care for their own anymore.

Keep them moisturized, make sure your shoes and socks aren't too small and for anything else I suggest finding a really good pedicurist like the meticulous manicurist on KZfaq. There is also a Russian lady on here that does miracles for all nails. I'm thinking her name on KZfaq is Alana? She has brightly colored hair in her pic.

I wanted to ask(as someone who has an accounting brain😅) did you factor in labour as a cost and if so how did you? Because I've got every cost calculated( down to how much lint free wipes I'll use for each nail set, VERY IN DEPTH I'd done about 4 business plans throughout school so that's probably why I'm overthinking it😳😅) it's just labor for me. I understand it will vary depending on the nail se but for a baseline, What formula did you use, because the usual way is an annual formula; which is usually Annual Labor Cost = Gross Pay + Annual Costs. Also did you work on hourly or not consider time but estimate. Thank and also even though this was a while ago your videos are a huge help thank you😁😊.

Don't you cut cuticles off? Don't you remove dead skin?

@@patternedpaints what about dead skin?
@hausofluzonАй бұрын
You don't "cut" cuticles off, it can only be scrapped, it's a white sticky layer ON nail plate around edges
@emilyheadey90992 ай бұрын
Definitely make sure you get a rasp to take out the dead skin under your toes, especially that ingrown one. It cleared up three of four of my big toe corners that were ingrown. I did the "surgery" myself on the fourth. Wouldn't recommend that though, I'm familiar with the procedure and had the tools and supplies for it. If it's seriously ingrown all the way down, you'll likely need surgery. But I reckon you can fix it with just the rasp. You'd be surprised how much gets stuck under there. All of our skin sheds quite a lot- it just gets trapped in this spot. Hope I helped!! Super cute and thorough job bestie, they look amazing 😍
@patternedpaints2 ай бұрын
Thank you for that recommendation! 🫶🏽 I don’t think my nail is ingrown all the way down, I’m able to lift it up and clearly see where it ends so I think I’ll try your suggestion of clearing out all the shedded skin😊 You definitely gave me more hope so thank you!! 🥰🥰

I heard some people have success with putting cotton under the edge of the ingrown nail to push it upward as it grows. Only cutting straight across helped me a lot personally
@patternedpaints2 ай бұрын
I’ve heard of that too, but gotta be careful to keep it sanitized and probably change out the cotton everyday to prevent infection. I think I will try it when my toes grow out again … I trimmed too far down to be able to put anything in there 😅 and yesss from now on I’m also cutting straight across only!

i would recommend not buffing the top of your nail bed! although it's true that it's not taking a lot off, if you're doing it frequently it really does add up. At the end of the day, you're thinning out your nail directly from the bed, which is why they still feel so weak. I had the exact same experience and as soon as i began skipping buffing my nail bed it helped with the strength of my nails tremendously. I understand it's helpful for retention when you're using builder gel, but it simply just does no good for the strength of your nails on their own. If your goal one day is to have strong nails without builder gel, then I would suggest taking a break from buffing every single time. just use dehydrator and primer- i did not see these in your video- they will help the retention without having to buff so much.
@vic69072 ай бұрын
i know this is after your break from builder gel- just saying this ^^ in case you are still actively using it as a part of your nail care routine.
@patternedpaints2 ай бұрын
Thank you!!!🙌🏽 would you say using a nail buffer is more gentle than a nail file for the nail bed? Or over time they basically will have the same effect? & is rubbing alcohol the same as nail dehydrator, like can it be substituted? I’ve never used dehydrator before 🤔 I’ll look for it and try it out! Thank you for watching and commenting 😊💕
@vic69072 ай бұрын
@@patternedpaints a buffer is definitely WAY gentler on your nail bed than a file is- if its a step you arent wanting to skip over definitely do NOT switch to using a file instead, just stick to the buffer. And yes, alcohol/acetone have the same effect as dehydrator! All dehydrator does is remove the rest of the natural oils from your nails to help w the retention. Using either alcohol/acetone or a product made specifically as a dehydrator is gonna get you the same result! :) just do some quick swipes over your nail bed with a brush dipped in your dehydrator of choice and ur good to go ❤️ much love and also your voice is nice to listen to !

Exactly what saltycat662 said - it’s all in your genetics. You will always need builder or some sort of support to have long nails, which is why I switched from builder to press ons since it takes me less time to make press ons and store them for later.
@patternedpaints2 ай бұрын
I think press ons might be the way… definitely easier and my hands would spend less time under UV rays in the nail lamp 😅
@saltycat6622 ай бұрын
Strong nails are due to diet and genetics. If you eat a lot of healthy fats like avocado and proteins, it helps. Vitamin D, calcium, & collagen also help. But genetically, if you inherited weaker nails, they're always going to be on the weak side. I have weak nails too but my diet and supplements help them a lot.
@patternedpaints2 ай бұрын
Thank you for that info!! 🙌🏽 yess my nails naturally grow fast but they always break at some point 😭 the gel on top of that is probably making things worse. I’ll take all of that into consideration thank you ✨

If u soak your nails in acetone to remove it it’s meant to dry you’re nails which make them brittle which then they break easier

I second the first comment--especially the part about oil soaking, it's a game changer. Also, it's a good idea to put a thin coat of petroleum jelly around your nails before the acetone soak to protect your skin. I've grown my nails out with regular polish, weekly manicures that include an oil soak, and consistent oiling daily. Good luck on your journey 💜
@patternedpaints5 ай бұрын
Thank you thank you!!! I’ll keep those tips in mind for this journey 😊💕💕 I was definitely thinking about the acetone, it’s such a drying process, I’ll see how the jelly works out!

Instead of builder gel, you can try a rubber base coat. I heard it's easier to remove than builder gel. Also, some lady I watched on here (sorry don't remember her channel) said that soaking your nails in warm Jojoba oil once a week builds elastic strength in your nails. I haven't tried it but I intend to.
@patternedpaints5 ай бұрын
Thank you!! Those tips sound super helpful! I’ve definitely noticed builder gel is so much harder to remove 😅 especially as someone who doesn’t like the same gel on for a long time . I’ll also try to get some jojoba oil whenever I can! Thank you again 🥰
