Our exhaust adaptor fits the factory cat so, it might not fit all cats. For the turbo kit options, we'll have, weld it yourself or we'll happily sell you a complete setup, ready to bolt in.

Make sure you know your motion ratios. The fronts tend to be very high relative to your rears. A 6in travel Front suspension could be 10in travel at the Front wheels.

Good point and for NAs this is why a 3/16" shock top spacer results in a 3/8" height difference at the wheel.

Which CAN network does this run on? If it runs to the wiper stalk, I imagine I can grab the wires there or the BCM yeah? I can easily find IGN/GND inside the and I'd much rather just run a few wires through the firewall if possible. Also does anyone know how long the vacuum hose is?
@FlyinMiataVideo

We recommend installing everything in the engine bay - you can tap into the network there and there’s no need to run anything through the firewall. The solenoid has to be outside the cockpit. See the instructions if you haven’t seen them already. The vacuum line is 140’ long. s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/instructions.flyinmiata/intake_exhaust/Hush-o-Matic_MRS_Control_Pkg_06-xxxxx.pdf

Which is better for reducing lag, BOV or Recirculate? Can the Recirculate line end up in the exhaust manifold instead of in the intake?
@FlyinMiataVideo
@FlyinMiataVideo Күн бұрын
As long as you have a well designed turbo system, we haven't noticed much difference in performance between the two. Now, noise is another thing. The recirc hose from the BOV will need to enter the intake track after the MAF if it's used. If you're not running a MAF, it can go wherever you want.

I bought a miata with Vmaxx already installed. Seems like the helper spring is above the main coil, whereas your examples are below. Is this an issue I should fix? I know the car was really low when I bought it, so maybe this was an attempt to get it to go lower?
@FlyinMiataVideo
@FlyinMiataVideo 2 күн бұрын
@MaximillionBucks The helper spring should be below the main spring - this is so that the plastic piece that goes between the two won’t catch on the top of the shock. Best practice would be to correct the spring orientation when you're able to. This was probably just an error with the original installation - they may not have read our instructions thoroughly.

Thank you for all you answers. Here's another question. What does load tire index mean in therms of performance ? Does tire with higher load index means stronger tire construction -> More stability in corners ? What is the science behind this index ? Thank you
@FlyinMiataVideo
@FlyinMiataVideo 2 күн бұрын
@deboxonline You are welcome! The tire load index tells you how much weight your tire can carry - this is mostly relevant for vehicles that will be towing, and doesn't really have anything to do with the handling performance of that tire.

So is there a way to keep the battery operating in cold weather? I mean is there a thermal heating coil to keep it operating in cold weather. Kind of like a heating coil that some automotive use to warm up the engine in cold climate? If not, will there be one available in the future? It's kind pricey for one giving that it's not suitable in cold climate. I would love to purchase one, but I am just worry that it will failed in cold climate. I live in california and the weather changes. I park my vehicle outside so if winter comes. I don't want to deal with a dead battery that won't start if it's too cold outside in the morning.
@FlyinMiataVideo
@FlyinMiataVideo 2 күн бұрын
@mrvang8077 If you live in a climate that gets truly cold in the winter, these batteries are probably not for you. We're not aware of any heating coils for these and would not recommend that you use one. While these are pricey upfront, considering their lifespan, they will likely outlive 2 standard lead acid batteries (or more). Please see our product listing to see if your winter conditions are severe enough to cause issues with these batteries!

Nice video, but I wonder. Considering there was only a mesh under the dashboard, do we really need a cabin filter there? With the new kit mesh comes at the top under the hood, isn't that actually enough, also considering it's a convertible?

@ajuric4606 Having a filter here is not necessary (Mazda didn't include one here after all), but not everyone drives with the top down every drive. For those who have pollen/allergen sensitivities, this is a great solution.

@FlyinMiataVideo
@FlyinMiataVideo 2 күн бұрын
@edwardholt5264 If your local municipality salts the roads for winter, it would probably be a good idea to try to spray the shocks off a couple times per week. These shocks are coated mild steel, so there will be some rust prevention, but can be prone to mild corrosion if you live in an especially salty area. Apart from that, they should do fine!

@clopperban We haven't tested it yet, but as long as the 2.5 head is in the same place as the 2.0 head - i.e., you use drop mounts - it should physically fit fine. We're working on other aspects of our turbo kit with the 2.5, but we don't have anything solid on that yet.

After adjusting my vmaxx sport ride height and valving about 50 times I ended up at nearly full soft on my 91 that’s basically all stock. I’m a bit of an old man with a shot back and I love these. In order to achieve that comfort you can’t lower the ride height very much because you’ll have next to no rear travel before you start hitting the bump stops. I think I have mine nearly an inch higher than they recommend

I currently am upgraded on the bilstiens that came with the Mazdaspeed which I put on my 99. Still the ride quality is really subpar. If I will be mainly daily driving would you still recommend the vmaxx or does it really take away from comfort during daily driving.
@FlyinMiataVideo
@FlyinMiataVideo 5 күн бұрын
@pheonixrising0634 The V-Maxx Classics or XXtreme Sports would probably be a little on the firm side for a Miata that mostly does daily driving duties. However, that will depend on the quality of the roads you drive on every day and your tolerance for stiffer-than-stock ride quality. For a daily driver, our Stage 1 Koni suspension package would likely be the better choice.

Preload does not affect ride quality. Not sure where the "required" 4mm of preload came from, but that may be a manufacturer making sure various hardware does not come loose. Set the shock length first (if applicable), then set the ride height with the perches.
