Gorgeous - the first two coaches and the last (before the trailing engine) appeared longer than the rest

The coaches are all 64ft long so their appearance may look different.

The only thing that could improve this would have been to have sound! I am also HIGHLY amazed that there were steam engines in active use as late as 1976. Amazing! It is wonderful to have history documented. Keep it up!

No 9 is being restored at the Strathspey Railway and No 6 is at Bridge of Dun. The colliery has closed.
@pauljohnson71715 ай бұрын
Not quite. Some of the colliery buildings survive next to the B1322. The stone building (former school) next to the level crossing has long gone but the brick buildings behind are still there. All the grey council houses survive. The signal box Earsdon crossing(flat rail crossing) is long gone and is under the A186 Shiremoor bypass bridge.

I always think of this reminding me that locomotives at the end of the day are just like animals and the walking prehistoric beasts of the past and like insects they always work hard supporting their natural system . Just like animals, preservation of locomotives are important.

A credit to all the long hours and highly skilled work those guys have put in at Aviemore. By the way, that is the original Aviemore Loco shed, and yes, the shed had Black 5's allocated to it - I think they had 4 altogether. So the loco is historically correct at the depot. Well done to everyone and thank you.
