Just installed mine a couple days ago, but I’m hearing hissing from the top pcv on the intake manifold can’t feel any air coming out the hose tho. Did you experience any hissing?

yes mine does the exact same thing and i thought air was coming out but no i think it’s normal

Hey man my truck is a 05 duramax with manual windows but power locks. Should i wire anything different or the same? Asking cause i saw you said your was manual locks and windows when you wired it. Also, can i just flash my bcm at the dealer?

my buddy did a door swap and there was a harness that you just plug in under the dash on both sides, no splicing. Manual and electric trucks have the harness that was installed by the manufacturer

With these years/generation of Vortec engine, they run a mass airflow sensor. Any metered air vented out of the can past the sensor will cause the idle to surge as the MAP sensor in the manifold fights to reconcile the funky inputs from the missing air. Any catch can system on these must be closed.

The ventilated catch can with the little filter on top connects to both valve covers to release pressure to the atmosphere instead of returning it back to your engine

you do not have to switch bcm in order to work unless you want your power mirrios to work then yes you do

That was the problem. I was using passenger switch. Soon as i pit master switch in worked like a charm.

it won’t crank at all or it does crank? if not put your old bcm back and see if it works and if it don’t then it’s a fuse

@@Henrylxt it won’t learn the new bcm it cranks and I can go through the steps but after the 3rd time when I go to start it it won’t and the security light goes back to staying illuminated. If I don’t have a good connection on the green wire from bcm will it cause that?

99-02 trucks have completely different electronics. Youre going to need to chop and cut all the wires and adapt them to your original connector. And if you want to get the turn signal function with power folding youre going to need to make separate connections but its all worth it. Itll make your 99-02 more unique

I did the conversion a while back for the mirrors on my 2001 Silverado. I took the mirrors from an 02 escalade. I also took the dash button for the power fold. I ran the wires, and spliced it to the signal wire circuit, and spliced the puddle lamps to the courtesy lamps. I ran the wires for the power fold separately. It works flawlessly

If you want them to fold you have to make sure the bcm you have in it had it before hand I think the one I had was a blue one and my mirrors folded and all I did was wire to the turn signal bulbs

I had a question. I put in 4 6.5" speakers in my Silverado. I connected all the speakers pos to pos and neg to neg using female spade connectors. I put in all 4 speakers and the voice sounds loud but they have absolutely no bass. Is that how these speakers are? Or do you think I may have connected them wrong? I used a diagram I found online for wiring

you have to fix it on your setting on your radio it’s not the wiring
