An Ender 5 produced five bullet collators with electronic switches, magazine flags, bolt holders, tool holders, ammo holders, and other things, ahem. Not all printing filament is created alike, regardless of their labeling. Some printers just don't like certain types/brands.

You know if you made a belt fed upper .you probably wouldnt be able to keep up with orders .sheet steel , quick change barrel

Preheat on these would be recomended. That metal is relativly thick and welding current is low. Several passes would also do good, but would ruin esteics.

Why not, instead of that threaded cap, you make a 3 lug rotating cap with a little push button catch/release?

Im sure mr serbu is smart enough to know this but in engineering when its being properly used the term "fail safe" doesnt mean "this will not fail" it means "when this does fail it will fail in a predictable way that wont potentially kill the operator" A good example of this is gas pipelines, a properly designed gas pipeline will include intentional weaknesses in certain places because if the pressure in the pipe rises above safe levels those weaknesses will cause the pipe seams to split and it will leak gas in a safe and predictable way. What it wont do is keep.building up pressure until it explodes. Now im this case what making a gun lile.this fail safe would look like is designing the gun to specifically fail if the chamber pressure rises above what mr serbu expects a round of 50bmg to produce and in that circumstance have it fail in such a way that it explodes away from the shooter

I got one of those back in 1988 from my ex mother inlaw as collateral for a $20 loan, i was kind of worried thinking it might have been stolen because she was into not so good stuff. It turned out it wasn't I've even run the numbers just a couple of years ago. I haven't seen her since 1994 she never came to reclaim it. I learned she passed a couple of years ago. She actually passed in 2001 that's why I recently ran the numbers again. Still not reported stolen. It's a great little gun very accurate. I did have to buy a clip for it several years ago because it didn't have one. I think that cost me $12 bucks. Once in '92 I was offered $500 dollars for it and that was a gun show in Reno NV

I have always wanted to become one myself. Firearms I have purchased and experienced I look at them and just come on they obviously function but designers basically say good enough. I have had to fully strip my pistols apart and tweak certain areas for full functionality. Doesn't want to cycle. Travel usually to high lip of the casing prevents it from cycling so many other factors contribute to it. I really didn't want to get into that but yeah. See videos police in shoot outs or military needing to recharge constantly I'm babbling on again but hopefully get my point

Mark! You NEED to have either the button or the barrel be able to turn freely! Make a barrel rest with a ball bearing. Without this, the button cannot follow it's twist rate! And yes, those HSS buttons are crap, use carbide ones, sometimes you even find chinese 9x19 ones that have the right specs(8,82mm od), most times they send you a 9x18 makarov one labeled as 9mm. Beside that, You gotta play with the ID of the barrel, every material and button has it's sweetspot. It all depends on the twist rate, groove count and the detailed geometry of the button. I used to start rifling with a wider Barrel blank and see how it goes, this way you can touch your way forward to the right specs without destroying the button. However, most important is that the setup can rotate freely while pressing. One more thing is, a press that supports "hammering" in small steps is better than a continous pressing motion. I've made numerous barrels with button rifling, and it's a pretty hard thing to do exactly right, especially because there is so little info on all the details. I use 40Crmo for the blanks, unhardened and found it to be the best for short barrels in pistol calibres.

Any chance of an RN50 with easily changeable barrels? Normal hunting and duty calibers. I miss my TC Encore. Some other options would be nice. S&W killed that brand. I would love to a RN50 in 25 acp.🤭
