This is the best explanation of neutral I’ve ever seen. I agree with other commenters that most of the high-level smash players understand these concepts without being able to vocalize them the way you did.

Your videos are absolutely incredible. I hope you continue making them; your veteran expertise and understanding of the game are second to none. Your channel is a criminally underrated resource for learning the deepest aspects of the game. Thank you for doing what you do.

As a total beginner, this is one of the most helpful videos i've come across, thank you for making it! You explained and argued this idea really well and persuasively. I definitely have been getting caught in the trap of trying to never develop bad habits, but i dont always fully internalize the tips and tricks and rules I see online because I don't have an understanding of where they're coming from. This video has motivated me to stop obsessing over learning every bad habit to avoid, and now I'm going to focus on just playing the game and learning from experience (and then supplementing that with guides in a more targeted way).

Hey vermanubis, just wanted to let you know that you've been the most underrated channel to me, I rewatched most of your smash conceptions and i can get a lot of mileage from your way of thinking even if I'm not that good at smash, and i should thank you for that. Whenever you are back from posting or not, i just hope you have a great year in 2023 :)

those are branches too. you assume, that people in neutral are in a stance, where they try to not get hit. this is false for most people. they try to get a hit instead

Years of playing smash and struggling to find my main I realised I love heavies and zelda is one of my favorite series. Beyond that I love his no zoner bs but I respect your video on zoners. I like how this video also helped me think about other things i wanna do and how to interact with others. Thanks so much

So yea what I got was someone can already be in comeback mode starting the matchup. But the degree and dexterity and flexibility needed to do that requires a lot of strain and stress. However we can look at the meaning of getting sweaty and bring a positive note to the comeback stress as almost enjoying the pain....idk I'm a new ganon main and saw ur channel ur so cool ily byeeeee♡♡♡♡

Ngl, you helped me a lot with understanding neutral, it's usually said as "don't get hit and rather hit your opponent" but you bro have made it clear for me, I don't understand usually how regular people would understand it since my brain doesn't think similar how others do, you made this very clear for me since now I get what I have to do, this will definitely make me make a huge list on how to exploit different characters moves, thank you very much!!

I've been a Corrin main since they released...but I just picked up pyra mythra and it's way easier to get kills and I can mess up and not lead to me loosing a stock. Life is a bitch as is, why would I complicate it more with people tryna be frame perfect as if there a pro players and destroy me as corrin, when I can get more kills with ROB and pyra who i picked up literally less then a week ago?

I think I would mainly talk about two things: basic tech that is useful for the majority if not all characters to move how you want from just learning to short hop consistently to things Like a RAR ledge trumps and the buffer system. But also specifically talk about edge guarding, ledge trapping, tech chasing, 2 framing, juggling and catching landings. And then there is neutral which is more abstract since your opponent has a lot more options.

A motto that is difficult to impregnate. I am not a video game competitor but I have been told at young age jealousy. There is a contest on which drawing will go on a paper gift. The theme was water. I was imagining mine going on paper gift in a shop. There result are in, I end up 2nd, a girl, who is the daughter of a teacher from the same school, go 1st. I was furious and develop envious tendencies, even on small things. Sometime, I wish to be gone to rid off these toxic thoughts. I am aware I can't win every time, I was confident but if that happened, it could take weeks or months to swallow it. This make me a sore loser. I hate contest and competition because it's wasting effort. The only instance I accept failure is in Animal Crossing. It taught me that all that matter is that I did my best. Life is a dick and it is that way. That's the message AC is all about.
