The beginning of his story sounded almost like my childhood...very familiar to me, although with less physical violence. I always said that parents can educate you in 2 different ways, they can show you how to do it or how not to do it. My parents showed me how not to do it. So I just had to do the opposite like Johnny said. For long years I was upset and I felt unfortunate for not having a normal, loving safe family. But then one day I realized that having this difficult childhood made me the person I am, generally trying to be nice, comprehensive and respectful avoiding conflicts. I think this is what happened to Johnny as well. And for me that was the moment I felt more in peace with my family. Unfortunately this also makes you a perfect victim for abusers as you also develop a high barrier of taking pain. This is exactly the profile that abusers are looking for. So I also had my toxic abusing relationship. At least he didnt have children with her and his people around him. Definitely no easy decision the trade he had to do in order to get the truth out and having his name washed having to reveal all these deeply personal details and even more difficult being a public figure. But he has done it. He has shown no fear to get the truth out. And it paid off. So glad he came out of this psycho hell and got back his life. I am so happy for him! He has given a very good example for others. A kind heart like he is, he only deserves the best!
