Fun layout! I like your idea of adding details around the page to add the interest. I have some low quality photos that I want to scrap but didn’t know what to do with them. You gave me an idea to try! 🎉❤

No, not yet. Open to suggestions! I feel like everything I've explored would be costly and time consuming and may not be worth it. Rather than finding a better storage situation, I'm trying to just focus on using them and maybe the problem resolves itself!! 🙂

Great layout! I downloaded the sketches and I like the bonus options. I do not use the cards that much. But having them on the sketch might trigger me to think about cutting some. Thanks!

Fun to watch you work through your creative process - that peachy circle in the middle with the ink spots reminded me of the moon and its craters, and I thought that was a clever tie in to the zodiac theme. And that paper you designed is stunning - love that mushroom one...

Just came across this video now thank you for showing your new system for storing dies. I think this is a great solution for me. I like how you grouped the similar words together. how do you store your alphabet stickers? in here ? Do you have a video on how you store and group/sort embossing folders and metal dies?
@tammytinedesign
@tammytinedesign Ай бұрын
You're so welcome! I'm loving how this system is working for me. Having the section for words has helped me use them more, for sure! I didn't like digging through a big bin and trying to find something to add to a page. Now I just flip through and can usually find something right away. So far, I don't have any videos on alpha or embossing folder storage. For my alphas, I found some open bins at Walmart that measure approx 13 x 10.25 inches by 5.25 inches tall. I just file my thickers long ways by color and add any sticker alphas to the front section of each color. I only allow myself two of these bins. If they get full, I have use, purge or stop buying. I don't have a ton of embossing folders, never used them much but I hope to get an electronic machine like the Sizzix Switch one of these days and then maybe I'll want to use them more and buy new ones. For now I have another bin that is 4.5 inches wide and the card sized embossing folders live there. Metal dies are all over the place. I need to get better. Some of them live in an Ikea drawer, others are on magnet sheets I attached to Ikea Helmer units. 😊

Such a fantastic idea! I *do* like keeping my supplies together by collection, but I *don't* like digging through piles...so, I just ordered these sheets (Amazon was out, but I found them at WalMart online!) and plan to put the die cuts for each collection in these, then store the individual sticky pages right along with the papers from the collection (in clear, 12x12 envelopes). Side note: is there any reason you couldn't just add entire sticker pages to these, as well? I want to try leaving them on the backing, cutting the pages in half if needed to make them fit, and storing them with the coordinating collection, as well. Thanks for the great inspiration!
@tammytinedesign
@tammytinedesign 2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I'm glad this sparked an idea for you. Love that you can adapt it to fit what works for you. You probably can add the sticker sheets to the sticky pages. They are about 11x9 so you'd have to cut the sticker sheets for sure. The top cover sheet might not stick well because it works best when it has space in between all the stuff to stick to. I think the sticker sheet would stick to the sticky page fine but the top plastic cover might not. Good luck with it - hope it all works for you! 😊

Thank you, Elizabeth! I hear you, there are many collections I've missed out on over the years because I didn't buy quickly enough. It's sad because that's what enables us to hoard...I don't need it now, but if I don't get it, I'll never see it again.... Maybe Simple Stories should bring it out of the vault and sell it again. I'd definitely buy more! 😄

I think I have too much stuff for this system but I do like it. I've tried several methods. I currently have small plastic containers of various sizes and keep similar die cuts, fussy cuts in them. It's working but I still have to dig through. I also have altoids tins and glued 2-3 examples on the lid so I know the type of cuts that are in them. I do like digging through bins and drawers. We all need to experiment and see what works for our personal style.

That is a great idea for smaller/medium collections. I wish I knew or the bell rang in my brain years ago to start this method. Today I would have to invest so much money and time, that I would go bankrupt and be senile by the the time I finish organizing them if I ever do. But again...a great start.
