I'm sobbing, tears of pure joy! I spent four summers at The Timbers. I've walked those trails many times. I can hear the sounds of singing in the meeting hall after dinner...anyone else want to sing a round? I can hear the piano being played in the barn. I've been trying to find this place again during more recent trips to the Traverse City area. Thanks for sharing. I'll be returning in person soon!

Pretty sure this is the same girl scout camp I stayed at in 2008. Sad to see it's since been abandoned. There used to be a 100-200ft tall rockwall and climbing structure there as well

I stayed at that camp as a Girl Scout in the late 60's. We had a lot of fun, tent camped in the field across from the dining hall, looked and found Petoskey stones on the lake shore, sailed/canoed in the lake, and had get togethers in the barn. Some people swam in the waters, but it was way too cold for me. I was wondering what happened to that camp. A group of us girls traveled from southern Indiana to attend the special camp, as well as, girls from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois. Thanks for sharing your walkthrough. Lots of memories.
