The heck with mixing just learn how to fly. All these inputs can be done manually on the sticks.

Your title is incorrect. The second product he demo'd is Foam-Finish. They also make a product called Foam-Filler, but that wasn't demo'd here.

When using the foam finish, can you use it on the entire epo foam plane to smooth out all the little bumps on the plane? Also then can you paint the plane?

Again we have cones taper WRONG .... rear hub cone taper IN .... front hub cone Taper OUT .... Why ? Check APC Technical Support for manufacturers instructions .... rear taper centres the hub / prop ... flat face of cone at front makes sure prop is perpendicular to shaft same as when on motor. If you put taper at front as well in the non precision shaft hole - it can skew the prop off true perpendicular.

Your wrong on balancing props!! A prop has to be able to sit in any position without moving much. With your xoar prop how do you know the hub isn't heavy on the other side.

Im afraid to try inverted. Cant believe you pul out only 3 to 5 ft above crashing into concrete. Much money and time wasted in a 1 second crash 🤔
@robertsalser848
@robertsalser848 5 жыл бұрын
It's quicker than 1 second, you fly about 88 ft. per second on average, some fly faster, some slower, so If you are 3 to 5 ft. off the ground, don't flinch.

Definitely test it first for sure. That being said, the small micros tend to be made out of the old school EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam which is not resistant to most oils or solvents in glues and paints. That stuff dissolves if you look at it funny... even butter, yes the dairy product, is listed as an oil that will attack EPS. Larger foam models these days are generally made from EPP (expanded polypropylene) and EPO (expanded polyolefin, composed of 30% polyethylene and 70% polystyrene). These foams are extremely resistant to most chemicals and solvents and in fact require glues containing harsh solvents or volatile organic compounds in order to achieve the best adhesion, like the Cyclohexane found in Foam-Tac. Hexane, Toluene, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Methylcyclopentane and various other Hexane isomers are used in other adhesives such as Devcon brand Contact Adhesive. bSi Foam-Cure contains Vinyl Acetate and Methyl Hydrate and the popular Welder glue by Homax uses Toluene. An added "bonus" of this chemical resistance - paint is easily lifted from EPO foam, even with low tack masking tape. It can make repainting a real nightmare. This is also a problem for the auto industry as most modern bumper covers and other parts are made from polyolefin plastics and paint adherence is a real issue. Lots of cars out there with paint flaking on plastic components after a relatively short life because of this.
