After just watching the troopers live, they have a really good chance at top 5, they need to work on some things obviously but their show is amazing. Better than last year and honestly the best show I have seen in person.

we get to compete against hebron at the area contest for our area and lemme tell you, they've gotten first in finals SO MANY YEARS IN A ROW. (little frustrating but i have the absolute upmost respect for them.) everytime u get to watch them after we perform its honestly like night and day. they're absolutely INSANE.

Finally figured out why BD are trash this year.. A show called the Romantics, and it’s performed with no heart. The music is too dark and dissonant

Seeing the season right now, locking in on my first prediction that Bloo on top AND BAC 3rd

Once again Crown seems to go for an actual DCI show and the more confusing technology driven shows that the blue coats and blue devils use(which cheapens the overall experience). I thought Crown had the better show last year! Crowns color guard just was much weaker visually and that hurt them. I loved BD show features last year. Bluecoats sho was confusing and weird for me!

I believe where y’all had BK warm up at Weber is the same place I warmed up for that show in 2019. Only other thing I remember is on the way to the stadium after warmup as we were walking across a field the sprinklers went off and like half the brass got soaked.

Hey Funliner...curious what your take is now - I agree with @bdfan4ever, seems 3rd is likely. Just saw them live in Ft. Collins and I actually LOVED the show - brass was amazing, percussion amazing, color guard, well - we did have some renegade hoops running all over the place :). Then I compared recaps to the other shows that night. Holy crap. Then Blue Coats the next night. ~3 points difference? Crown drumline matching BD? Uh....something seems slightly amiss here. I watched what I could of the other shows on KZfaq and I really like Boston and 'Coats, but I just don't see that much of a spread between BD and the Blue Coats. The latter opening hit has technically harder brass parts, but I'm just not seeing why the huge difference in scoring on brass and on GE. The BD show seemed to fly by, I kept checking my watch just a bit watching Boston and the Blue Coats. Enjoyed all three a ton though. I'm not much of a conspiracy guy, but seems like powers that be definitely don't want a 4-peat. Can't say that I blame them, better for the activity as a whole to have competition at the top, I'd just like it to be real, not manufactured.
