These speakers are good and clear for high frequencies (HF) when paired with an active subwoofer like a 12 or 15 inch. However, ensure that the volume, bass and treble knobs are set at unity level.

90% of our payments come in via digital payments. I actually asked multiple couples last year if they would prefer that I moved to accepting credit cards or keeping my current process of Venmo and PayPal and unanimously they came back saying they would prefer Venmo and PayPal. Most of the time when someone is choosing to use a credit card they are doing so because they want to accumulate points. I take that as an opportunity to inform them that their points are likely less than the expense of the credit card itself. I've even gone so far as to sit down with a couple, because they were really curious, to take a look at their credit cards reward program and then also at a few of the businesses they were working with. Two of their contracts showed a 5.5% credit card fee where their rewards were 3%. Needless to say I've gotten numerous referrals from that couple not only because of the service the day of, but the service from day one.

I absolutely agree! I did this when I moved into my new apartment. Half the outlets the ground was gone, and several had reversed polarity. Also kitchen GFCI outlets were not tripping, and the laundry outlet was supposedly on a GFCI breaker but it was an AFCI breaker and the bedroom which should have had an AFCI did not. Also one outlet with low voltage because of a bad connection. Yes I have that same "fancy widget"

Everything that happens, and NEEDS to happen, before the results is "THE JOB/THE WORK". Contemporary work ethic is akin to Bigfoot riding a unicorn. For almost every worthwhile "job", the end/singular performance is where the art meets the work. Sincerely, Curmudgeon Rocky

Nailed it. I think so many DJs come into this business and don’t have a clue on how much work it takes to get business and on top of that to keep your clients.

Typically one associates surges with outside events. But a while back I had a surge protector which primarily protected a microwave oven but there were a few occasional use kitchen appliances running in background mode on it as well. On day the surge protector blew (built in breaker did not trip, so it must have been a very fast transient). I bought a new, UL listed one and everything was fine until I used the microwave. It instantly blew the surge protector (but, again, not the breaker) because the microwave oven itself was the source of the surge. However it successfully protected the other appliances that were on the same power strip.

Mentorship is the most important thing in any profession Including djing / karaoke / lighting / Personality will get you far How to deal with all levels of society I watched and learned from 8 DJs watching and learning for years And asking lots of questions ! Then I watched 1000 KZfaq videos to fill in the rest Start with house parties first free And google the best songs of all time And of course watch the Dj news 🤗

The Evolve 50 has a fuller sound for several reasons. 1) some of the specs on the speaker cited here are inaccurate. Both have a 12 inch subwoofer, the The J8 has eight, 2 inch drivers in the array whereas the Evolve 50 has eight 3.5 inch drivers in the array not 2.5 as the narrator states. Further, the J8 has 90 degrees of horizontal coverage whereas the Evolve 50 has 120 degrees of horizontal coverage. This was important to me because one of the selling points of line arrays to begin with was greater horizontal coverage. For a solo/ musician singer, the J8 might be a better choice / price point, but if you are playing with a band, the larger drivers and wider coverage area makes a difference. The wattage is greater on the J8 (1400 peak bs 1000 peak ) but this is really irrelevant since you don’t listen to wattage you listen to SPL levels. Both speakers are at 128dB max spl vs 127dB max spl. I use my evolve 50s for the trio that backs me on a regular basis and I recently use them in a concert where I was backed by six piece band and the evolved 50s were great. Prior to this I owned a pair of K Array KB 1 line arrays. They too had a 12 inch subwoofer and eight 3 inch drivers, not three and a half. The had a very clean sound, but they were a little more "tinny" than the evolve 50's. I feel the same way about the J8. The RCF Evoke 12 would no doubt have a fuller sound, but the price point advantage over the Ev would vanish. The Evoke 12's are almost $1000 more than the Evolve 50 and I don't think they are $1000 better.

Conversely, I actually encourage my subcontractors to hand out their own business cards. If they get a review with their name on it from that event, they earned it and are welcome to use that to promote themselves. It is not a reflection of my work if I was not present at said event. If someone hires my brand, they get me. I won’t pretend like I own anyone in the process of upholding the integrity of my brand name. Just my two cents.

Great video. All mobile DJ's need to have one (better yet two) of these inverters. Absolutely indispensable, take it to EVERY gig! I've got various units from Bluetti, Ecoflow, and an amazingly tiny unit from Elecaenta (not much larger than a can of soup). I actually run on battery for most of my gigs these days unless I happen to be set up right next to a power plug.
