Because right now midi has become the thing, especially with midi 2 being here upon us, we’ll just to say how does it work in conjunction with midi? Midi 2 in particular? Is it able to be used with multiple daws on iPad? Will it slot into AUM, AND WITH LOOPY PRO?

Guess you're muting tracks when recording to DAW? Hope multitrack out (and class compliance to go out of a Model 16) are planned, they would be great. As it is it's still a ludicrously dope wee beast, we'll played Yamaha. The ui is tight af.

Really great dem. Never seen Sappo prior to this but enjoy watching him have fun. breaking the mould. love the ninja mode flexing into full kitchen when you attach to a laptop. ala modal engineering app for their synths. After Namm was bit quiet on the synth front last year, wonder if this will be best in show in 24.

Is it possible to use different keys in one pattern? Or to use different sounds in different patterns for the same channel? Does it have an arpeggiator? Can you record notes not in tempo (as in: enter note by note as opposed to playing note by note)? Can you connect MIDI keyboard via USB (namely, DGX-650) without a converter?

Is it multitimbral? Read the manual and all parts are assigned to different midichannels, so it should be able to use it as a 11 channel sound module? (7 drums, 3 synths and sampler). You skipped the midi menu in the video so didn't get a chance to look at the options. Otherwise, excellent video!

There is nothing similar to the OP-1 or OP-Z other than a long rectangle and it is much more advanced. It's rude to compare the legendary company that created the DX7 to a company that can't even install a fader properly.

Yamaha just stole TE's lunch, but its funny because I was just saying how the KO 2 (po 133) seemed like a modernized Yamaha SU 700 (which I use to this day), not mad at that but Yamaha seems intent on coming for the TE groove market, and I love both companies products btw .

@@djExquiz I used to have a real crush on TE. But they proved arrogant and unreliable. They need to be pushed to a limit where they start to care again. And this type of product is just what the market needs : TE product but with reliable software and sturdy build quality
@djExquiz
@djExquiz 7 ай бұрын
@@Studio_4to1 Don't get me wrong I feel the same, I could never justify in my mind the price of the OP1 but I own about every Pocket Operator that they came out with starting with the PO 12 drum machine, I had long sung their praises before the PO 33 became a lofi Hip Hop community favorite, I have also been along time fan of Yamaha's older groovebox gear. and their synths, and although the Montage, Motif, etc series has been great, and I love Cubase also, I feel that Yamaha has needed to push itself in a new direction musically and do more of what Roland has, expanded for DJs, casual and serious beatmaakers, and hardcore bonified skilled pianists and stage performers alike, so I love the new Seqtrack I think Yamaha is going in a more consumer friendly, less somewhat elitist, direction with this. Roland and Akai I think have learned since the early 2000s that you can have great flagship gear (MPC 5000 cough, ahem Akai, Roland multiple Fantoms) but lose massive market share because casuals and beginners can't really afford your stuff to build a loyal brand following.

@@DanChippendaleMusic fair enough. I honestly hope someone does a good, affordable take on the OP1 … It’d be an amazing thing to have if it weren’t so overpriced. @@AdamsOlympia I find it strange that no other company has tried to make an OP1 type device. A small velocity sensitive keyboard. 8 tracks. Synth engines. Stock samples, Sampler, effects. This does sound a lot like the above but I'm not keen on the look of the trig layout. Yamaha should have put some of their amazing keyboard skills into this. Seems like a miss opportunity.
