Looking at getting a flash for my Sony A7iv and I love your video! I have asked people and they recommend something so much more expensive… I resonated with you so much that I typically shoot with natural light and looking to add this. Perfect with this price!

How do you choose Manuel mode for video when using the new R6 mark 2??? There is no video on that button and has switched to the left hand side. Do I just flip that?

Hi, I'm very surprised by this temperature setting for wedding photography. What's the point, given that you can do everything in raw? Perhaps you have a video on the subject, I haven't found it!

You completely reversed the scale. You have 2800 in blue, called "cool" and 8000 in amber called "warm". It's easier and better to just think of the term "white hot" since technically speaking Kelvin is derived from the physical heating of a "black body", so the hottest part is the whitest part. As the actual numerical temperature rises, the color gets visibly cooler and bluish-white.

Disclaimer #3 Photo's generally have an attention span of 15 seconds; except if taken by you Don't get fooled in parting with your hard earned money on new extravagant glass. By good used, even buy "old"; gear does not matter when taking photo's, just the LL&L

I thinks since I want to photograph my art to make print reproductions sharpness is important . Getting an L lens means using a big chunk of my general savings and putting g less into my investment savings account. Being an able to create high end quality prints of my artwork is important . I’d like to hope once I start selling reproductions of my originals that will pay off with investing in the correct lens . I just got the r6 mark ii and will have to slowly pay back my mom over 2 years . I find ways to make it work . I also traded in my old camera and will trade in lenses I have. Possibly finance a portion . Should I get the 50 mm L or the 24-70 L which will also a.low me to take product style photos for my website .

💥 I would like to see someone showing a photoshoot of a late afternoon wedding ceremony and not just a single posed shot. It can’t be found anywhere for good reason. The reason is that no one can successfully pull it off. I tried using my speedlight to fill in areas when my bride or groom were either side or backlit from the sun and it was a disaster for me. TTL mode but the flash output was so inconsistent with my Godox V1 Pro being about 8-10 feet away from my subjects. Sometimes too bright and other times no light at all and I was shooting slowly

I agree with you Katelyn, Godox is a good choice financially. UNLESS you have to use the flashes outside at rain and mist or on sandy environment. Which i unfortunatelly have to 😭, when I shoot macro. Godox has no weather sealing what so ever! So I ended up destroying my Godox (wedding) flashes one after another, on harsh environment. So. I had to decide what to do, didn't wanted to go back to 600ex rt-ii. I decided to give the Canon EL-5 a shot, bought 3 of them. And that killed my credit card. But oh boy, what a dream flash, even better than the Godox V860! The menus and consistency is far better than 600ex-rt II and even better than Godox V860. And it needs less time than Godox needs, between shots. AND it's fully weather sealed! I'm in love! 😍

I use up to four 600EXII-RT for real estate photography. After a while (maybe a couple of years) the RF connections to remote flashes started failing, requiring me to go to each flash and switch them off and on again to reset them... over an over. I tried switching channels, rotating the master and slave flashes, new batteries... everything. Nothing worked. So now I have a set of Godox TT685II C flashes. I just got them and am learning how the menus work. There is no way that I will spend + $1000 on an EL-1, and I don't think that the EL-5 will work with my EOS R5 or 5DMIV because of the hot shoe and how the flash communicates with the camera. Thanks for the info! It seems that you have experienced the same thing that I did.

For me, the touch and drag is the second best feature of the mirrorless systems - the best feature has to be, hands down, without a doubt, the electronic view finder and being able to see what the final photo will look like before I even hit the shutter button. 😍🤩 I'm just an amateur photographer, and using a DSLR would take me so long to figure out the manual settings that I'd get frustrated and give up or by the time I finally figured out the settings the moment would have passed. Having the electronic view finder (combined with the Control Ring on the R system lenses) means I have all three points of the exposure triangle on physical adjustment mechanisms and can adjust on the fly, seeing the change in real time as I turn the dials, and it now takes me seconds to set up a shot instead of literal minutes. Before my Canon RP, I only ever owned point-and-shoot cameras and occasionally borrowed a DSLR from a family member or friend - as soon as Canon announced they were going to launch a mirrorless camera with the electronic view finder that showed the final image in real time, I started saving my pennies. Haven't touched a point-and-shoot since, I'm loving every moment with my Canon RP. 🥰

Absolutely love the explanation and the reasoning behind the setup, question: what's the advantage of using Canon-branded flashes as opposed to Godox/Profoto, etc?

Billboards are printed around 20dpi and images on them are less than 2 megapixels. I'm sorry but if you can't make 20mp work for ANY scenario, you're not doing something right. If you are cropping that severely, get a longer lens!! People should learn that MP count has NOTHING to do with image quality!!

You get some really cool imagery if you flip the 50 back to front, it then becomes a macro lens. Try it out, but make sure camera is locked down other wise its just a big blur. And thanks for doing this.

This has never worked for me. The Subject, Sky, & Background masks wont work. It just makes a giant box around the subject or tells me it can't find it.

you must be in excellent shape, there is no way I would carry 1.5K for more than 30 min, no matter how great the IQ is , this defeats the purpose of going mirrorless , it is supposed lighter than DSLR
