The glitches were the worst part for me (have you experienced the special weekly world boss or that flying dragon boss for Samir matrices lol). And holy hell are there so many goddamn menus. I also found that a lot of the raid-type gameplay was pretty much the same thing but reskinned. It's a shame, because I really did like the interesting combat gimmicks (when they worked, of course). I also don't care for the PVP stuff so meta never really mattered to me from the start, but for real, the lack of SRs and the power gap between them and SSRs is abysmal. I've quit and returned to the game at least 5 times now, but it's so damn overwhelming with all the stuff you need to build your character that I just can't justify sticking with it. There are some events that are P2W and allow you to get more out of them, which is just plain exploitative. Idk if I'll ever be able to play ToF consistently again lmao

There is a game called Counterside that rarely gets reviewed

this is the only game that really bad make character for gacha games. a gacha game but lack gacha character and the character quickly outdated very fast, never get buff or rewoks. look at fgo every old og character from day 1 today all get rework to fit the meta even other game. but not this game called tower trash fantasy the dev just don't care. this is why you cannot be love and hope your favorite character stick in the meta.

There's also the infinite draw which is pretty cool.

Just from the very start 0:16 "Lack of new players" One of the reasons is probably because of the ToF community itself. It's a closed community that isnt open to new players. They push away new players or rather dont care about them that new players would feel like they shouldnt play the game

I remember for the pvp on the server im on, the whales would mention in world chat they would just forfeit the match for a while and they did. For the tedious events people would form teams and mass quit so everyone can farm rewards quickly

In its current version right now, u can farm for old event weapons and logistics. Elite logistics has its own separate area in the shop

What kills me with the game is the sheer amount of BS on the screen on startup. So many microtransactions shoved in my face immediately, gear gacha, battle passes, monthly passes.... It turned me off. I love how chill Nikke is with allot of that, and how simple things are with "What do I do?". I don't even have to pay for best in slot gear. That being said... The fan service is great! Characters get many skins that are great, and the roster isnt huge. I wish Nikke had more skins and fanservice like BD2. As someone close to level 400 in nikke, I have less to do, so would love this game if it wasn't seemingly so much to tackle. But I might give it another try after you laid it out really well though. Thanks man.

I cant agree with the narrative that the Wuwa should be compared to 1.0 genshin because genshin is almsot 4 years now and Kuro Games had all this time to avoid genshins mistakes and improve but instead they just copied genshins flaws. No even echoes loadouts btw.

The different currency and unforgiving pulls is what made me leave. Also, How boring it got doing the same things over and over.

I still play this game since launch. I agree with most of the things said in this video. I would also add the fact that most materials required to augment/enhance your gear to a higher lvl are time gated and is also probably a reason why many new players have problem with the game, cause they just cant come close to the latest eq lvl (65) if they cant grind the materials. Thats just a problem of mixing gacha and mmo together. Even when playing almost since launch and spending some of the tanium on the eq materials (not much tho, I usually spend on other stuff) I still am not close to lvl 65 (around lvl 55-60), and they have to release new lvls cause whales did spend alot of currency on those materials and they want to upgrade again, but now they are max lvl (tho current enhance lvls from 55-65 require new materials, so it is a time gate to max the lvl again). With one take I have to disagree tho, but I understand that you probably did not know about this, cause this is not written in the gacha system (tho it should). There is a guarantee loss or win system included. You cant lose or win 3 times in a row. If you win 50/50 2 times the next is a guaranteed loss. Same applies to losing 2 times in a row, where the next is a guaranteed win. With the 120 red pulls required, the number is actually a lil bit lower, cause for every dupe sr (above 6 stars) you get 1 flame gold, and since the sr is guaranteed every 10 pulls, it means that you get 120 flame gold every like <110 pulls. The exploration also depending on the region gives you different stuff and it gives you some decent amount of dark crystals and red nucleus. Tho in 2.0 region as mentioned most of the currency is time gated through the gachapon system. The system is grindy af, and even when playing the game every day since 2.0 update I just recently cleared this system (around 1.5 years since 2.0 release). And the monthly pass gives you a bit of this currency as well, so I had more of this currency than a F2P. Newer regions are not that grindy tho. And with the declining playerbase it is sad to switch crews from time to time, cause they die out. Even more sadge is when you see some of those friends from those crews that leave the game, and you have to find new ones to play the harder content... Happened few times to me, and is possible to happen once again in a moment...

Cab you talk about destiny girls? it's going down and their sea server is closed, i've been searching why, talking to other servers mods and it seems that the people from the sea server were doing money laundry, wasted all the money and get rid of their employees, if i'm not mistaken, there's no way to contact the studio behind it, and the mysterious missing phone from a dev that talked with players 2 or 3 days before the shut down was announced.

tbf I feel like normal battle pass are more even than the advanced one. Why? Well, if you're buying the battle pass you're also probably buying the monthly pass. And 98 currency is exactly 68 for battle pass + 30 for the monthly pass.

I will keep saying Bang Dream! Girls Band Party! is a better game.

Thoughts about reviewing Astra knights of Veda? pretty unique gacha game

A great review! Its rare to see such a deep analysis of a gacha game but its interesting regardless. I've been playing the game more or less since launch and only found it through some random videos, its been a fun time though the game had some problems spacing out the content in the earlier patches i'm really happy with the detail the characters and world not to mention the amazing music that i added to my music playlist on youtube(The Gleaming is SO good!). I hope u do a follow up video in the future couse they are really ramping up the content especially with the new roguelike game mode.

my issue with this game is that i already play genshin, i don't want another game that feels similar to it. the combat being different is not enough for me, and a lot of the open world exploration felt the same.

Surprised there is no coverage of augmentation and titan gear in the video. Gacha ratings and given time to save up for a new weapons are fine in my opinion, but that titan gear, titan stats rerolls and a timewall (or paywall) to do it are the problem.

A bd2 player is super ft2 friendly. Free pulls are insane u can totally get costumes from those. And whem a banner ends is added to the powder of Hope to buy one copy. U can play totally free of energy, u only use the energy only in few dungeons.

Not only was the game problematic from the very beginning, but the social media community was weirdly hostile. Way to rep your dying game...
