In Lex's defense when he left Mercy behind under the cabinet, he was extremely sleep deprived and had spent about a week in captivity. Lex is still human and still needs sleep and real food so him 'leaving' her behind COULD be written of as a man running from a torturer.

Lex Luthor missed one of the important Evil Overlord rules, I don't remember the specific one but something along the line of letting Lois go before killing her. NEVER, EVER, let the heroine escape. Superman's powers aren't supernatural like magic is. Though fictional in reality his powers are based on physics. Magic being something beyond the realm of science and physics are one of the few things out there that if it comes from someone or something vastly powerful in said field can actually harm Superman.

Despite all the flaws, this movie gave us one best thing: Iconic Margot Robbie as Harley. Literally all Harley Quinn designs that comes after was based on this.

It was highly disturbing and unethical (her poor enslaved husband her poor murdered babies/clones of him, it was all messed-up...!), but her medical condition is a real one mama has--an excessively strong immune system that attacks sperm. My brother was only born via in-vitro fetillization... he's a test tube baby! More normal means of treating the condition Pamela has... but it's a real medical condition and yeah, seeing Bruce believe her and even call her Mrs. Carlyle and the tears she sheds... Yeah, I love that Poison Ivy basically takes what are inherently good concepts (women's rights, children's rights, environmentalism) and takes them to ridiculous, dangerous extremes--she's an extremist! It makes her more grounded in reality in a scary way, even if the plant babies are too out there to be a real fear/danger. Pam's very sweet and patient with kids, I remember she even told off a bunch of teenagers trying to harass and objectify her and Harley. "Excuse me, boys, didn't your mommies tell you that's not the nice way to get a lady's attention?" Horrid teenager goes, "Oh, and what're you gonna do, spank us?" ... then, it's HARLEY (who's a lot less maternal/patient than Ivy is with kids, fff, even if she also wants badly to be a mom and mothers her "babies"--the hyenas--and in one good ending, raises those twins [possibly her grandkids?] in Return of the Joker) who brings out a BAZOOKA, "That's right, pigs, and HERE'S the paddle!!"

Fun fact: In some versions, Bizarro isn't just immune to kyrptonite, it actually makes him stronger

Both Anakin and Luke bring balance. However, it is Luke embodies the balance in the end. He does not hold to many of the Jedi Order's misguided rules. He forms attachments, listens to his feelings, and does what is needed. The Jedi had become ridged in their thinking and fearful of their own potential weakness. Seeing attachment as the ultimate weakness, instead of a strength. Luke believes the latter.

Light falling apart is magnificent. But, it is even better in the manga as he squirms like the worm he is begging Ryuk to not finish him.

Honestly, I really like this movie. Can't stand the Gunn one though...

It’s a testament to how great the movie is that two idiots like you love it. I don’t expect everyone to know trivia or weird facts, but when you open with “Steven Spielberg who directed ET?” or think of clothing as “outfits” when it’s typical 1980s clothing, or even barely understand the concept of inflation “how much is a quarter now?” I just shake my head. Sometimes, just don’t say everything that pops in your head.

I think a lot of people have somewhat of a hard time with the first two seasons because of the chopped up release order; certain story arcs were scattered over S1, S2 and parts of S3 (wich in my opinion could be very confusing, especially for newbies), but they actually continue with the completed (and way more serious) story arcs from s3 on. Also, the animation gets noticably better from s3 on forward. Nontheless this show is by far the best piece of star wars that came out in the last 20 years, glad you guys enjoy it so much :)
