Laws can vary some from place to place but generally it is legal to have any colour lights on your vehicle as long as they are not turned on & usually even if you do have them on, as long as you don’t have both red & blue together (which is what the police use) it is generally in most places legal. So, if you just have blue lights & not red & blue lights. You are likely in the clear but check your local laws.

In my home state you can have any color of light you want ON your car. However turning on blues or reds is where the trouble starts. Only emergency vehicles can run cherries and berries!

As far as i know most everywhere it's legal to have them. It's illegal to use them. Obviously if you work with the police for events they'll let you use them

It's a cool car. Just like my mercedes 240d. I used to daily drive my classic mercedes with antique tags. I was wondering because they say it's only for driving to events and car shows and fun use and etc. But not for traveling commuting daily but they change that law about more then 15 years ago. Once I get it back on the road, everyone, including different locations and people that are way older than me witch I was born in 1977 when I didn't know about 1977, that existed when I was a new born. I saw the 80s, and I did see the Ghostbusters police Caddilac wagon cruiser rolling the streets in the Ghostbusters franchise movies 🎬 when it was extremely popular in the great full-time through out the '80s. Now, since my classic Mercedes 240d is on standby, do to engine that it's only running 2 cylinders out of 4 has to get fixed hopefully later this year... What a favorite car also currently going to daily drive my 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula daily with an LT1 350 V8 back and forth to work when I recently purchased it when I could have fixed the Mercedes. But it will be back soon. Also, great Ghostbusters ride. I'm classic car enthusiasts.🙂

lights that arent amber, having them on your car is fine, perfectly fine all day every day, but when you turn them on, there could be trouble, generally speaking the one time an officer is going to care is when you use them in a way you should know better not to use them for, like trying to pass off as an emergency vehicle, a big ghost busters car is probably not going to fall under that category

You're lucky had you been in Pittsburgh and a lot of other cities you would have been arrested for impersonating police. Plus your car impounded and they would obtain a signed document by a judge allowing cops to strip off your emergency lights confiscating them which you would not be allowed to have back. You are not allowed to have red or blue lights on your vehicle it is illegal.

it is not illegal to have them on your car, but you cant drive with them on as both (RED) and (BLUE) are reserved for law enforcement only. now, you can turn them on if you are not driving, and are in a safe location to where it wont effect moving traffic so like an empty parking lot, car show, or in your own driveway or property. now you can get a permit for if you want to shoot a video, or if you are invited to be in a parade then you can used them there. hopefully that helps answer those questions :}

Plain and simple it depends on state to state. some don't allow rotating or oscillating lights. if you go with blue or amber and you put a snowplow on the front you be a snow car, which makes it legal. I think the law on this varies by state. However, I have heard some people cover the lights when they are on public streets to comply to make it clear that the car is not a police car. I have heard others in other states use Amber bulbs or lenses which are legal for private use in some states. Others it may be legal or illegal depending on the state. It is a good idea if one has lights like this to never activate them on public roads. If one wants to activate their lights, do it one of two places: A) On Private Property with permission of the owner, such as one's own driveway or farm for example. B) During a Parade. C) An Off-Road Setup such as at a Film Shoot, Movie Set, Race Track, Stadium, Arena, or other controlled environment that is not a public road at at the time.

My dad had a Cadillac Ambalance 59 from a auto auction back in 85-89 I'm not true the exact year but I miss that car it was from Garner-Hayfield Ambalance but don't have a good picture of it but I don't know if the car is there anymore in the junk yard in Iowa that's where my Dad put it because it wasn't working good anymore I wonder if the car is there or crushed or someone fixed it up I miss the car.

Those of us who ran EMS in my state called them whacker lights…Fire and EMS guys (always guys…well almost always guys) put blue lights on their cars when they were responding as volunteer Firefighters or EMTs…thing is, they don’t give you special privileges…no going through red or stop signs or speeding…only red lights on your car and you must have a siren…only a chief or EMS Director could have red lights on a private vehicle. Blues, anyone could do, but they were useless. I know it’s different in different states…green is illegal in NY because that is associated with EMS private vehicles, or at least used to be…so always check your state regulations. As long as you don’t try to use them to demand privileges you aren’t entitled to…you should be fine. Blues don’t do anything here anyway…

Former cop here: likely a rookie cop based on the "buzzed cut mean face" description. Now I'm from Florida so i can't say anything for GA cops but down here 9.5 times out of 10 we won't care if anything we are just so over the shit from our shift we would probably poll over and just record, in all seriousness if you're coworkers would never let you hear the end of it you will get harassed and roasted until you retire, secondly IF you took it to court that shit would get thrown out. And if you did get arrested it won't get prosecuted

I was able to see him at a marijuana event that was happening in my local city, of course it was blues brothers related so Jim Belushi was also with him. They were doing free autographs but when It came time to go see them they were not talkative at all, they were talking to each other the whole time so no one there at the event really got to have small talk or even say hi🫤 at least i got my Ecto-1A license plate signed by him and Ernie Hudson lol
