This got waaay toooooooooooo complicated after the first three steps. But its very cool. Who the crap thought this up and was able to pull it off? My old spirograph would always get in a bind and not work smoothly.

The second largest gear (which is the large one below the small fixed gear) must be about 100 & not the 50 mentioned as that would not work. Otherwise a good video of a brilliant machine. It is hard to believe there are dislikes.

The pattern it draw will repeat alright, i cant see any reason that it wont. It might take a dam long time but it will repeat.

Nice video! But there's no such thing as an irrational gear. In your 150:98 example, the pattern will repeat itself every 7350 rotations.

If you could do these drawings slower, it would show the beauty of them being made. And not just a blur until the end.
