Question! What changed the company’s mind about Instagram? I see 37 signals has an instagram but traditionally, Basecamp is “Facebook free”… genuine question.

I call BS! I know this video was meant to be “viral” “tech” “short”. But what about the article by DHH: “Programmers should stop celebrating incompetence”? It literally goes against these types of “relatable” posts!

I don’t relate at all tbh. I’m a full stack developer and I know lots of ways to “center a div” from all types of frameworks, design libraries and html. It’s sad people don’t know how to center a div…

I know they experiment with pricing a lot. The $50 upgrade for time tracking is fair for bigger businesses. But freelancers it’s a a tough one. Seems like the pricing for this is not balance compared to the cost of Basecamp. Just my opinion. But I am glad they are finally offering it.

Hmmm yeah with the current USD > AUD exchange rate...... didn't realise this is an add-on, extra $50/month (that's AUD$75+) ..... would love it but I think there are other tools half the price that my team need more right now (and so I think we can stick to our current time tracking arrangements). It's a shame because this looks like a great feature. Will wait and see

$50/month for a single feature add-on is way, way too expensive! This would be useful for us but would increase our monthly payment by half again as much as we currently pay. I sure hope this isn’t a sign of things to come with Basecamp where new features are locked behind add-on price increases. This is inconsistent with the SaaS promise Basecamp has been making for more than 15+ years. We’ve been here for all of it. No likey. 🫤👎
