AWESOME video, thank you for sharing your hard won knowledge, isn't the problem mixing extreme tones (black clothing) with a fairly pale complexion) as either the face will burn out, or insufficient detail in the street Garb? how about using a folded whiter tissue attached to the flash head to minimize the harshness? just a thought. The color pictures with faded background looked absolutely Beautiful, Thank you and please post more. 🙂😇 Bless

Yes a tissue would’ve definitely helped soften the light but I just didn’t have one with me unfortunately. For the black and white I did want a high contrast look. Cheers.

@@2071photo Yes I also love the extreme tones with Black and white, my fave all-time Black and White films Ilfords SFX infrared, I use a deep red filter, and fill in the flash with a folded tissue taped over the flash head. but experimentation is the best way to see what evolves from our individual creativity, take care, Bless, 😇

Beautiful shots! I have subscribed in hopes of living vicariously through you as you shoot your leica because I'll probably never be able to own one. No Kidding ! You are in a mess,F16 wide angle 1/30 FS. Working with model ? Pentax 6x7 is Landscaping camera.You will way better of with a Hasselblad or Bronica.

Pick up a 80mm or 50 or both C T* Lens, those lenses have coating cover and bilt in self timer. Just make sure the time works first because the t-stars are older ones and still are a good lens.

@@2071photo I love the look of flash. I sold my Mamiya 7 and METZ 45 (like yours in the video) I am looking at getting a 67 but was a little worried about the 1/30 sync speed. But doesn’t seem to slow you down at all.

Seemingly dumb question: I have a 67 and the same sekonic meter you have. I'm using a Vivitar 283, which I mount on top of the wood grip and plug into the camera. I'm having trouble getting the sekonic to recognize the flash and tell me an appropriate F stop whenever I test the flash. I have the sekonic in the same flash setting you have in the video. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Vague question, I know, but having some trouble figuring it out. Thank you.

Not a dumb question at all, which sekonic meter do you have? Are you holding the button down until the flash goes off? The only reason I can think of that it won’t read the flash is it’s either in the cable setting or the flash isn’t strong enough in the lighting condition you’re trying to read it at.

I shoot Fuji GFX and a little bit Sony A7R2 but only have a Minolta X570 (my original upon graduating from college), a Nikon F100 and am now obsessing over the C330 for image quality and because it will make my GFX feel fast. :)

Another great video. Question: when you went in for CUs I would expect it to blow out completely since you didn't adjust the flash power. How did you make that work?

Luckily it was only over exposed by 1 stop so I didn’t lose detail in the highlights as I was afraid would happen.

Great shots! Did you have a lab scan these? Could be the reason each shot was slightly different.

Scanned them all myself and ran them through negative lab pro, never had an issue on other film stocks with consistency but both rolls I shot were developed at the same lab too.
