Republic has been contracting out to Junk Luggers to do cart delivery as well as bulk for a while due to how backed up they are and the fact they have been pulling drivers off of bulk and carts to cover residential and commercial routes.

They have gotten a good dozen or so trucks within the past year for Garden Grove which are all 520 ZRs. I have same footage of the Durapack rapid rail's but they really aren't my favorite trucks.

@@DanielWDonuts Cool to see more ZRs coming in. If possible, I would love to see the footage you have recorded of their Durapacks! They may not be the best trucks in that yard, but it is cool to see that they were trying to try something new as well.

They need to send all these trucks to another yard and copy WM’s strategy of collection…I mean honestly it’s kind of pathetic for these large 32-YDs to be in such tight spaces. Turning the corners in those alleys must be an absolute nightmare, I wouldn’t want to be in that sort of situation lol but nice video

With the long wheelbase and with how long these bodies are, it is definitely a pain to get through this city, there was so many streets we couldn't get on video just because of how tight and narrow the streets were. I personally think they should have ordered some rear loaders for this city and ran ASLs in the more open areas. Thanks for the comment

They most likely bought larger trucks so they could get more tonnage and run less trucks. but these trucks are far too long to make some of the turns and fit in the alleys.

I’m not aware of Waste having a lid flip policy, but it’s probably because a lot of the residents in Laguna Beach are elderly. CR&R bought a huge batch of 520 Amreps, and from the sounds it of those will be running those routes. Yes I do plan on recording CR&R.

Dang, Waste Management of Orange County has lost a lot of contracts... First they lost Lake Forest and then Santa Ana, now they lose Laguna Beach. Sucks to see one of my favorite haulers lose so many contracts

A rollout will be required anyway because the contract requires it, but also waste has thousands and thousands of dollars of equipment in Laguna Beach, of course they would want it back.

@@DanielWDonuts The waste expo had an LR Revamp for the main Las Vegas yard so they must be testing it out. As far as Henderson goes I've heard from different drivers that we are getting them and some say we are not. Only time will tell I guess.

I have to imagine that this thing pays for itself with fuel savings. Think about all the idling and 1st gear, inefficient travel that it avoids!
