I got news for you, my friend paid 55k for his GMC a couple years ago and it looks like this car inside. It's not much better out there unless you find the right luxury vehicles, then the maintenance requirement goes way up.

i think 4k is not suitable for thin laptop. although it is impossible to compare other device and p1 gen, i have a terrible experience of 4k xps15... very ver hot (nearly burning) and continuous fan spinnin in the idle state. i will not get 4k thin laptop before intel or amd catch up macbook

@@ihk5812 thank you for the reply! I had a x1 carbon gen 9 with a 4k screen and it also runs incredibly hot. It also kills the battery (maybe I have 90 minutes battery now just typing notes in word). I may just get the 2560 x 1600. Cheers.

Thanks for the review. I am looking at buying one of these and this was helpful. However could you comment further please on the actual quality of the screen image. I am not wanting this for gaming but rather work related use. Development, graphics, rendering, etc. a) The "nits" and the brightness and crispness of the images and colours. b) shartness of lettering when using development apps like Android Studio etc. Thanks

hey, do you recommend the p16 over the p1 a lot regarding fan noise? I just got my p1 and found the fans horrible & ~3-5x louder than the old X1E gen 2. I am thinking about buying the P16 instead, would you recommend it regarding fans? (I know you said so re the P1 gen 6 in another model).

To be honest, I think that the P16 makes like 10-15% less noise. P1 is thinner, so it has to make up for itself being thin

Thank you! Yes, sure! It's a a little "cheaper" version of the X1 carbon, but they're almost matching in many aspects.

This device only has one memory module - this is the first laptop that uses the new LPCAMM2 memory format, the new design meant to replace SO-DIMM. Different from SO-DIMM, LPCAMM2 uses more efficient Low Power (LP) memory.
